it seems that it was the tipping point for the officer when the driver started reading a Johnny Falcon post.

It will do that to people... :D

Seems like he had his shit in order, and new his rights. Good for him. The only mistake he made was unlocking and opening the door. He could have carried out that same conversation from behind a shut and locked door. Never open the door for the police, unless they have a search warrant.
Knock, knock?
Who's there?
The Police.
How can I help you fine officers?
Can you open the door so we can talk?
No thanks!
Open the door. We need to check to see if you're harboring a criminal.
No thanks! Is there anything else I can help you fine officers with tonight?
Open the door now!
No thank you, it is only myself, wife and child in this apartment. We are going back to bed now. Have a nice night officers! :D

Weren't the police just doing their job?
-
Weren't the police just doing their job?
Yes, but violating the 4th Amendment to the US Constitution is NOT part of their job. They took an oath to uphold the Constitution. Not just uphold it when it is convenient to them.
-
Weren't the police just doing their job?
Yes, they were, but they were going about it the wrong way.
-

thats way more important than the police protecting the public
being able to quote judgements from the supreme court is something we should all learn
that way offenders will never get caught and we can all stick up a middle finger to the police

I got stopped once by a very very angry policeman, but he was tiny....he was soo small I could barely see him in the dark and the stab vest was choking him. I was doing 70 in a 30 and he was coming opposite direction he made a U turn and I slammed the breaks and pulled up immediately pre-empting his move to follow me.

I imagine that the car victim there who also got his unconscous body pummeled right after the crash is a muslim who kidnapped and raped a 12 year old christian girl, I feel so much better LOL :D
-
Smart brother right there. Knowledge is power.
LOL! ::) ::) ::)
Yeah, smart people usually don't live in destitute like that flop house he was living in.
-
Anybody who thinks that this guy is smart, is a fucking idiot. "It's in the supreme court", lol, what the fuck does that mean? He only looks "intelligent" because the moron deputy sheriff froze up once he dropped that line about the supreme court. Cops should know every law, and be an expert, so that when someone says some shit like this, they can retort with, "oh, okay, which section/code is that?', or something to stump the guy. I agree, I would not want anyone coming in my house and snooping around, but he could have turned that Hebrew around and probably gained entry had he known how to do his job better. ::)

The guy smacked into a cop during a chase, so they threw him a beating -

With all due respect I feel there is a lot dumbfuckery in this thread.
The police are as full of idiots, if not more so, than any other profession.
But fuck me, who'd want their job. Especially in the States where every idiot can own a gun.
If someone wants to poke his head into my house to search for a criminal (especially when I know a crime has just been committed) who gives two fucks about the Constitution.
Catch the bad guy. Make the streets safe.
Without some semblance of law and order we have anarchy and society fails.
I don't support bad police, but I support the police.

I'm sure people (mostly Hebrews) would be OK with that if cops didn't beat the living shit out of them for almost no reason, or use excessive force (such as killing a kid who stole a soda from a store).
The less people trust cops the less they will cooperate with them. That's why everyone from the Soviet bloc will never get involved with cops even when living in western countries, because they remember the way cops operate over there and are always told not to trust them.

It is widely accepted that the unwritten British constitution is a much better tool than the American Constitution you hold so dear.
Please don't ask me to quote a ton of sources and just accept that an Oxford PPE degree teaches a thing or two about what the best minds are supposed to think. You can think they are wrong and I don't feel strongly enough to get into an argument on this, but you'd be opposing the opinion of the world's leading political thinkers.

Utter BS.
And I can't be bothered to give two figs about the opinion of "the world's leading political thinkers," whatever the fuck that means.
"Widely accepted", FFS. Don't bother with citations because they don't mean fuck-all.

Na, in a case like this, I still think you should be taken at your word. It's a slippery slope. If they really think he is harboring a suspect let them claim “exigent circumstance” and see if it holds up or swear out a Steagald Warrant, and charge everyone in the place if correct.
The guy could of been politer, but I support the spirit of his protest.

It doesn't matter if he was harboring the guy or not , what matters is they need a warrant. And I know you're from Europe and might not know American laws. But the police are under NO obligation to keep us safe or protect us.
