its funny tho cause if u sat him on a bench with the back support so he couldnt swing he prolly couldnt curl 60lb dumbells strict,there was aguy benching the other day with 2 guys spotting him,he had 405 on bar, i said yo thats pretty strong,he said thanks. i set him up bigtime,i had 315 on my bar n said hey i need u to show me something,he said what, i said can u lay down there n do a rep cause i wanna see the correct way to bench,he was hesitant then he sits down on bench and calls his spotter over,i said no bro i dont want a spotter here cause i wont be able to concentrate on watching your form ;)anyway he lays down n couldnt even get the 315 off the racks,case closed n i walked away n he was embarrassed as hell.

LOL, I did a similar thing to a chunky, younger dude a few yrs back.
He asked me to "spot him" after his regular gym bro lift partner had to suddenly leave.
He had 3plates aka 315 loaded and I noticed he needed a spot for reps with 225.
I asked him how many reps was he shooting for.
He said 5-6 reps minimum , so I told him I'd get on the bar after the first 3.
I helped him with the lift off and carefully moved my hands a few inches off the bar.
Boom, the 315 buried him and he couldn't move it an inch off his chest. So I grabbed and it we got it racked.
He seemed upset and confused, even suggesting I didn't give him a proper spot.
I smiled and replied ; " A spot is for safety and helping with forced reps at the end. You got buried on the 1st rep from too much wt."
He never asked me to spot him again.
