I gave up deadlifting when I could do a set at 185kgs, that was about 2 years ago. But my back is playing me up and deadlifting and squats are the best way to work muscle knots out outside of sports massage. Im pretty sure I can do more than 185kgs if I can row 160kgs as well. Havent squatted since Feb when I got to a set of 4 plates. Been cycling to keep the legs up.

yes, I would start with 180kg just to play it safe
Try doing a few sets of those 160kg rows as a warm up
be sure to film it and post the video here

Fuck id hate to see how shitty your deadlifts are after seeing those deadlift lockouts you called rows.
You are fat and need to drop the weight and work full range of motion for more reps, fuck the ego lifting.

Watched the powerlifters today,they were doing triples with high 200s -low 300s. Impressive.

yeah thats why i stopped in past. not claiming big weight by any mean, but im not on ryan kennelly gear levels either.

I did that today (2 weeks after major hip surgery) 4 plates for 3 sets of 10 very controlled, slow, squeezed and paused reps ... one arm at a time and my feet off the floor as I cant put any pressure on my left hip.
I imagine your set will be very similar in style so you should put up some vids in this thread.

Ok walked in today to do back and some old rake was on the pull down machine so I went to the dead lift pad. Managed set at 150k gs. Tried 180kgs couldn't. Did another set at 150k gs.

Deads are good to cut your teeth on, ive torn both my hamstrings doing these in the past, the risk to benefit ratio isnt worth it once your past a sertain stage
