For those who attended the Expo this year, what'd you think? To me it seemed way, way busier than the last 5 years and the samples being given out were almost nonexistent. A few booths like Concret were giving away some gnarly stuff, but it like maybe a dozen booths had table samples when in previous years it felt like all of them. I've got to say this is the first year I haven't felt I've gotten my money's worth out of it. Anyone else have thoughts?

Definitely busy... I never go for freebies, I'm just using it as an excuse to hit the clubs.

Likewise.
I don't go for the freebies necessarily but it's nice when you get enough to make it worth the price of admission.

When I look at some of these expo pics I realize that when I started enjoying bb many of these kids were in diapers.

The Olympia Expo was definitely busier this year than other years, it may even have broken a record in attendance as to how busy it was. Maybe next year they can even add more space to it (I like the South Hall area much better than the North Halls).
Various booths were giving out samples, but it is truly expensive as heck to give out 30,000 samples. I know that Quest alone has 20,000 bags of just protein chips to give out, and Optimum had a ton of pallets in the back for samples too. Optimum has a great caramel ice cream, which was one of my favorites at the expo.
Took a lot of pics there, but alas, I missed a lot of them too. Oh well..

I get that it's expensive to give out samples, but it's marketing. In previous years of attending the expo I got samples from places like ALR as well as Scivation, which turned me onto their products and had me purchasing them for years to come. This year... nada. Don't even remember any of the booths outside of the obvious guesses like BSN and Optimum.
I think it was the fact so few booths were giving out samples that those that were had hour+ long lines.
