In before Flex Magazine says, "David Dearth had a genetic predisposition toward heart disease."
-
I did not want to cut and paste all of this but let's just say he has had a horrible 2014. Staph from his knee certainly did not help his heart.

Dave's wife posted on the thread ;D
Interesting how you copy information off my husbands Facebook wall! Then repost it and pass your judgement (of him), onto others. It's too bad...You obviously don't know David.

"This will be my 29th surgery during my career. 11 just on my knees. I took the whole "go hard or go home" thing to the extreme. I love to train and I love to train as hard as humanly possible. I read on Facebook people saying they train all out every workout all the time. Few do but most do not have a clue. Anyone who knows me or has trained with me will vouch for my intensity/insanity.
My whole life all I've heard is "someday you're going to have to pay big consequences for the insane way you're living your life.
They were right"
I try to tell guys that before you know it you will be 50 (if your lucky). Joints can only take so much along with your heart. I loved competing in powerlifting but walking at 24 was the best thing I ever did.

Oh great, another story idiots can blame steroids for

Because steroids have never ever contributed to organ failure, NEVER!!! :-\ :-\
-
Good luck to him. Those doctors sound beyond incompetent; They could have cost him his leg, or his life.
Went to the ER and no ex rays no nothing just an arrogant towel head who could barley speak English telling me I just strained my quad. Go home and ice it.
HE PUT HIS HAND ON MY HAMSTRING AND SAID IT FEELS LIKE YOU MAY HAVE STRAINED YOUR CALF

A small minority. Did you even scroll through what he wrote on BB? He's in the hospital for training like a jackass.

He nearly died for us.
And if you read the whole story from http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=159885361 (http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=159885361), you realize that he will die. He is just too stupid to be alive. He skip the treatment, start smoking pot while he has streptococci- infection in his blood stream. At that stage would be easier just shot the bullet in his head.

Exactly and he was still walking around at 265 or so. He had already had other surgeries and didn't get the message. I saw a video of Ronnie doing shoulder presses after cervical spinal surgery..not smart.

Took his whole life to realise what I figured out by the time I was 19. Funny that. Fuck with your body, it'll will bide its time and fuck right back at you. And it always wins. Always.

rock and roll wild child lol
Hehe, these people think they're so cool, so fucking wild and one of a kind. Most of them end up broke, penniless, in hospital and filled with regret.
-
He had a huge bender a few weeks back (I heard coke, alcohol etc) not sure if it's true. But this guy knows how to party hard and love hard. Imagine how much prime pussy and drugs and money and fame etc he had in his prime. Now add good steroids to that mix and a great physique. It was surely a damn good period in his life back then.

Dave's wife posted on the thread ;D
It's great that he has people around him who care, but trolling message boards cannot be a good use of his wife's time. I recall two similar episodes years ago when a muscle escort died. Apparently his sister started going through his computer and found her way onto his escort forums where she read lots of painful messages from people disparaging and otherwise mocking her dead brother. She foolishly tried to take on the posters and got beat down bad. It was not pretty.
When another one died his "family members" started posted on the board defending their dead muscle escort son. Again, a fierce beat down ensued. Alas, Johns can be cruel.
Note to all bodybuilders, massuers, and escorts: if you do not want your family members to be hurt, embarrassed, or humiliated by what you are doing (drug sales or consumption, prostitution, etc.) make sure they cannot access your computer if you die or end up in jail unexpectedly. :'(

Bay Dave did a lot of regrettable things but don't try to tarnish a guy with gay shit when he's down. He's proudly anti fag and a red blooded American.
-
Lucky guy, I thought he was already dead died.
fixed

fixed
Oh thank you!
-
I remember him from the wbf days when I was a teenager
-
I remember when I was in high school Vince McMahon had a bodybuilding show on tv.
-
Used to look great but he is abusing the system - why do doctors have to help retards like him? He's acting like a stupid teenager.
If your body is giving you signals to play it safe - do so.

rip.

When I lived in Northeast Ohio, I'd hear awesome stories about David hauling his ass around on some goofy-ass moped.
This guy (in a wheelchair) who lived in my apartment complex knew Dearth and almost begged him to come to his wedding, I suppose to add some relevance (?!) to his shitty life. Dearth never showed.
Worst wedding ever. No one came, basically, and he was wheeling his wheelchair around in the middle of the dancefloor while the DJ played tunes, looking like a twat.
But I digress ...
Dearth is known to have been (still be?) a bit careless with his lifestyle. Apparently coke factored strongly in his prime years as a competitor.

Hahaha are you still on that radio show? I heard the one about Gifted Nutrition's fart powder and was wondering if there's more.

Rec Drugs were HUGE in the gym back then COKE was the true preworkout in the 80's to early 90's I love how steroids get blamed here but COKE never gets talked about cause they dont wanna be known for using rec drugs or called a dope head when they pass

???? lol
pussy? he's a junkie with a huge little man complex and a bad attitude.... that really brings in the ladies I bet. lol
drugs? and money? well, he had a contract with WBF, but I'm sure that all went up his arms in the form of cocaine within about 6 months. (side note: I see he's tattooed over the horrible abcess/trackmarks he used to have on his left arm at the pit of the elbow)
fame? nobody outside the sport even knows who he is... actually, even those of us who DO remember him or don't really give a shit. he was 'famous' for what? maybe 2 yrs? in the glory days of the 90's

I'm with you Billy and also saw guys abusing the hell out of pain meds, ecstasy, benzos and alcohol (who knows what else!).

Back at camp palumbo I would hear alot of stories of pain killers specifically nubain was HUGE then and Ecstasy was also huge and lets not forget GHBBBBBBBBBB.....
But hey lets blame steroids right sounds logical
-
Coke is a great drug but when you already have steroid related heart damage and then start hitting stimulants hard ... Well that's what gets u your heart attack.
-

Not sure you're being honest.
-
He should have taken up running and body weight exercises in his youth. Maybe joined a basketball league while pursuing a real career. He could have been sitting in his big house with a nice car in the driveway being the picture of health with a GQ physique. Instead he was a syringe "athlete" in a thong. Who maybe got a contract for 90K for a year or two. I wish him well though. By the grace of God there go I.
-
Basketball? Do u know how short Dave and all his family are?
-

Guys that learn this early in life, will live a long time. Guys that don't?...

Was the infection in his leg caused by shooting with a dirty needle? Seriously anyone pinning you need to make both sure your gear and your needles are sterile and clean.
Did Dave write a book in the past about his drug/hell-raising lifestyle? I heard there was a book but never seen it.
-
What's sort of interesting is how Dearth cries about the amount of drugs in today's bodybuilding. As if
his use was healthy and modest. Every generation of bodybuilders does this, as if now, today, they really crossed a line and went too far wrt the drugs. "Back then" they weren't drug dependent, as opposed to today.
Where should the line be drawn? Entirely subjective.

nevermind the same 29ga insulin pin that goes into his veins all day without being changed or even cleaned.
-
If there is an orthopedic implant, (plates, screws, pins and the like) then you have to be scrupulous about preventing infection. You shouldn't even get a dental cleaning without prophylactic doses of antibiotics.
-
Dave is knows for eating huge meals for guy of small skeletal structure. So u think he's pinning insulin even now?

Oh well "if he dies he dies" ::)
