"But we welcome the scrutiny of the world – because what you see in America is a country that has steadily worked to address our problems and make our union more perfect. America is not the same as it was 100 years ago, 50 years ago, or even a decade ago. Because we fight for our ideals, and are willing to criticize ourselves when we fall short. Because we hold our leaders accountable, and insist on a free press and independent judiciary. Because we address our differences in the open space of democracy – with respect for the rule of law; with a place for people of every race and religion; and with an unyielding belief in the ability of individual men and women to change their communities and countries for the better."
LMFAO - who the fuck is he kidding w his worthless corrupt failed junta

ehhh it's been almost 2 months. There's a very good reason the police dept hasn't released the cop's statement yet ;)
They're letting him get his affairs in order out of respect, but he probably won't be a cop much longer. He did something that cops can't do.

Why does Huff-Po keep yapping about the "majority back" town of Ferguson, as if the police are supposed to be mostly black? The average police force, even in the most urban areas, is 30 percent black, at best. Throw in Latinos, and you get 40% of the force that's not white.
Across the board (regardless of the town's racial makeup) the smaller it is, the higher the percentage of cops that are white.

Obama’s breathtaking naivete at the United Nations
Washington Times ^ | 24 Sep 2014 | Joseph Curl
Posted on September 25, 2014 4:30:01 AM EDT by Rummyfan
President Obama on Wednesday delivered a speech at the United Nations filled with his usual soaring rhetoric of global collectivism and the importance of “international norms.” But the president also displayed a shocking naivete about global affairs, religion, Islam — a Pollyannaish interpretation on the state of the world and America’s role in it.
Although Mr. Obama won a Nobel Peace Prize just eight months into office, the president made his annual trip to the ineffectual world council to deliver a call to war. “Ladies and gentlemen, we come together at a crossroads between war and peace, between disorder and integration, between fear and hope.”
Of course he waxed poetic about “climate change” and the promise of “the children,” but the president was forced to devote the bulk of his speech to what he called the “heart of darkness” and the “cancer of violent extremism.”
He said upon opening his remarks that “the shadow of world war that existed at the founding of this institution has been lifted.” He couldn’t be more wrong. A true man of peace worthy of the Nobel Prize, Pope Francis, said just the opposite this month in remarkably astute comments to commemorate the anniversary of World War I.
“Even today, after the second failure of another world war, perhaps one can speak of a third war, one fought piecemeal, with crimes, massacres, destruction,” the pope said, summing up the conflicts in Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, Israel, Gaza and much of northern Africa, including Libya and Tunisia, not to mention Somalia.

Obama Brings the Ferguson Lynch Mob to the U.N.
Frontpage ^ | 9/25/2014 | Matthew Vadum
Posted on September 25, 2014 at 7:09:41 AM EDT by markomalley
President Obama used an opportunity on the world stage this week to encourage America’s enemies to continue promoting the tired old left-wing narrative that the U.S. is an irretrievably racist hotbed of injustice.
Instead of just focusing on the topic of the day, namely, what the U.S. government is planning to do to undermine the extraordinarily brutal Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS), Obama suggested that his own country’s race relations problems are on par with leading world crises. And Islam is perfectly innocent. Only bad people who aren’t real Muslims are causing trouble in the world.
It’s bread and circuses, with America’s own Caesar running the show.
According to Obama, the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown, a black man, by a white police officer in Ferguson, Mo., in itself is proof that race relations are poisonous in the United States. As the Left sees it, Brown was the latest in a long line of helpless black victims mowed down by racist cops who are part of America’s corrupt criminal justice system. It’s just more left-wing sloganeering, staples of which are knee-jerk cop hatred and making excuses for black criminals.
Anti-American fanatics, such as the Iranians, have used the events in Ferguson as propaganda to defame the United States. Obama is telegraphing to the Islamist totalitarians that they are on the right track and have entirely legitimate criticisms.
“I realize that America’s critics will be quick to point out that at times we too have failed to live up to our ideals; that America has plenty of problems within its own borders,” Obama told the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday in a speech that focused on foreign policy and national security issues.
“This is true,” he told the gathering of delegates from nations that enslave people, chop off their hands and heads, mutilate their genitals, and sanction the gang rape of infidels, women, and youngsters. He continued:
In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri — where a young man was killed, and a community was divided. So, yes, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions.
Apart from the vile moral equivalency, that is, the implied comparison of the Brown shooting with Islamist atrocities, Obama never bothered to point out that there is still not even a scintilla of evidence that what transpired last month in Ferguson was in any way racially motivated. Investigators keep digging and coming up empty-handed.
Nor did he point out that his administration is leading the way, trying to inflame racial and ethnic tensions. Egged on by violent left-wing mobs and race-obsessed profiteers like Obama allies Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson Sr., the U.S. Department of Justice is conducting a race-baiting witch hunt aimed at the entire police force in Ferguson.
It is nothing more than a taxpayer-funded Democratic Party voter registration drive disguised as a civil rights investigation. Such hoaxes are the stock in trade of the radical community organizers who run the Obama White House.
But it’s a costly hoax. At least 40 federal agents have reportedly been on the ground in the St. Louis area desperately searching for proof of racial animus on the part of Darren Wilson, the decorated Ferguson police officer who shot Brown Aug. 9 after the suspected gang member beat him and tried to take his handgun.
That figure of two-score agents is apparently more than the Obama administration has assigned to all the other major scandals embroiling the administration combined. Those other scandals include Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi bungling, IRS persecution of conservative groups, New Black Panther Party voter intimidation charges, the Fast and Furious gun-running episode, and the NSA’s domestic spying.
The rest of Obama’s UN speech consisted of bromides and inane mantras about the Islamic world he holds so dear.
Although Islam has been generating terrorists and Islamic supremacists for over a millennium, Islam’s been done wrong by those who have hijacked it, Obama argued.
A “more lethal and ideological brand of terrorists“ have “perverted one of the world’s great religions,” he said. These terrorists are “employing the most brutal methods to intimidate people within their communities,” he said, without mentioning that his allies in SEIU and Saul Alinsky-inspired activist groups do much the same to American communities.
Obama glossed over the centuries of Islamic irredentism and religious violence to claim that, notwithstanding the often-graphic verses of the Holy Koran, that “Islam teaches peace.” In his view, “Muslims the world over aspire to live with dignity and a sense of justice,” he said without mentioning that to many Mohammedans the world over justice consists of Jews’ and Christians’ severed heads on public display.
Obama even said that “we reject any suggestion of a clash of civilizations,” even though a clash of civilizations is precisely what is taking place.
Now that Obama’s approval ratings on national security and terrorism have taken a beating, the president feels he needs to sound like an actual president who cares about the good of the nation and is willing to use the nation’s military might in a just cause.
What ISIS is doing is outrageous, Obama complains. But his hatred of ISIS is conditional, based on polling. As long as voters are concerned about ISIS, he’ll pretend to be concerned about ISIS.
“No God condones this terror,” he said. “No grievance justifies these actions. There can be no reasoning — no negotiation — with this brand of evil. The only language understood by killers like this is the language of force. So the United States of America will work with a broad coalition to dismantle this network of death.“
This is likely the same pep talk Obama gave to former IRS enforcer Lois Lerner as she geared up to harass and intimidate Tea Party nonprofits.
In Obama’s eyes, only American conservatives, not medieval Islamic savages, are permanent foes worthy of eternal enmity.

Obama and “Takeover”Holder are setting these folks up, agitating the race issue till it hits boil, and then surprise, Wilson walks. As he should.
Then St. Louis becomes St. Lootus.
LE is already preparing for widespread violence that extends well beyond Ferguson.

Why even bring up this matter without complete factual information to corroborate his statements?
WHY would this stupid SOB want to go to the UN and brag about his failures?
Why does he want to present the US in the worst possible light to the entire world?
WTF is wrong with this idiot?

It fits their narrative. What they don't factor in is that Ferguson became majority black a relatively short time ago. Many of the institutions from the era of a large white community remain. Also, blacks have a very low voter turn out in Ferguson. If they are interested in having more black politicians they should get out and vote A more diverse police force will not improve the situation at all.
Brad W. Smith, a researcher from Wayne State University, set out to assess the direct impact of the diversity of departments on police-caused homicides. A difficult task, to be sure. His study, published in the Policy Studies Journal in 2003, found that, while the racial make-up of a community had a measurable impact on the prevalence of police violence there (namely, the larger the black population, the more frequent the violence), the proportion of minority police officers to white police officers in a department "had no significant influence on levels of police violence."

The President Of Ghana Invoked Ferguson At The United Nations

Ghanaian President John Mahama referenced the killing of an unarmed African-American man by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri that led to protests and a violent response from law enforcement in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly Thursday.
Mahama's speech focused on the "need to effect change in the areas of human rights and social justice, in education and health administration." He referred to the situation in Ferguson as well as other incidents where African-American men were killed by police as examples of things that might make people fear the world was regressing rather than progressing.
"Reports of police brutality in the United States against an unarmed black man takes me back to 1999 when 23-year old Guinean-born Amadou Diallo was shot 19 times by four New York City police officers. Or to 1991 when Rodney King was brutally beaten by five Los Angeles police officers," said Mahama. "Both of those incidents caused a tremendous public outcry, as has this year’s shooting to death of 18-year old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, with the singular message of 'no justice, no peace.'"
In addition to the police shootings in the US, Mahama cited "beheadings" in the Middle East and the many civilian deaths caused by Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip this summer as potential signs the world is moving backwards. However, after referencing these situations, Mahama hit an optimistic note.

Why does Obama feel need to apologize for America? Raises Brown shooting in UN speech about ISIS

* US president spoke to the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, castigating the ISIS terror group's 'network of death'
* Amid mentions of the Russia-Ukraine crisis and Iran's nuclear program, Obama seemed to apologize for a racially fraught shooting in Missouri
* A white police officer shot and killed a black teen on August 9 in a case that brought protesters out of the woodwork and sparked a DOJ inquest
* No charges have been brought against the police officer for killing Michael Brown, who had just come from committing a robbery but was unarmed
* Obama told the UN that 'America has plenty of problems within our own borders' and 'our own racial and ethnic tensions'
President Barack Obama brought the infamous shooting of Michael Brown, a Ferguson, Missouri teen, into his speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, citing it as evidence that the United States has 'our own racial and ethnic tensions' that compare to the sectarian genocide and ethnic cleansing plaguing the Middle East.
His remarks focused mostly on armed clashes in Ukraine and on a vicious jihad in Iraq and Syria where a terror group has beheaded journalists for a global Internet audience, where hundreds of thousands have died, and where millions have fled as refugees.
'I realize that America's critics will be quick to point out that at times we too have failed to live up to our ideals; that America has plenty of problems within our own borders,' he told representatives of 193 countries gathered in New York City. 'This is true.'

The fact you want all that information demonstrates how much importance you give an irrelevant situation. Obviously they are waiting for the press and peons to move on before they release anymore information that could inflame the situation all over agin. The strategy being wait for a few news cycles to pass. Releasing any information now will do nothing to convince the true believes Brown wasn't executed by an evil racist white cop. The autopsy report didn't convince the the Ferguson fools Brown was shot from the front. I wouldn't be surprised if the Feds are the reason information hasn't been released.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — An Afghan official says Taliban insurgents have beheaded 12 civilians and torched some 60 homes in an assault on security forces in the eastern Ghazni province.
The province's deputy police chief Asadullah Ensafi says the Taliban have attacked several villages over the past week in the Arjistan district. He says that on Thursday night they captured and beheaded 12 family members of local and national police and burned down 60 homes. He added that the battle was still raging.
Ensafi says the Taliban also detonated a car bomb in front of an encampment where some 40 police were posted. He said it was not immediately possible to reach the area to ascertain casualties because the insurgents had mined the roads.

President Obama's decision to reference the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., during a United Nations speech on foreign affairs Wednesday raised eyebrows, and not just because the investigation is ongoing.
After spending the bulk of his remarks discussing the ethnic and religious disputes that fuel so much of the world's terrorism, the president mentioned the Ferguson shooting and then added, "So, yes, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions" and "like every country, we continually wrestle with how to reconcile the vast changes wrought by globalization and greater diversity with the traditions that we hold dear."
President Barack Obama ENLARGE
President Barack Obama European Pressphoto Agency
.
Politico reported that it was "unusual" for the president to reference "domestic U.S. shortcomings during a speech devoted to international issues." Asked for an explanation, a White House official said the president wanted to acknowledge that the U.S. is "not perfect."
Well, neither is Mr. Obama's analogy.
Tensions between the police and low-income black communities are not based on race or ethnicity. They are based on the fact that blacks commit a disproportionate amount of violent crime in America—almost all of it directed at other blacks. Police don't go into these communities to shoot blacks; they are there, by and large, to stop blacks from shooting each other. They are there because that is where the 911 calls originate. And for their troubles they now have the president of the United States all but comparing them to terrorist groups.
This is the latest example of the president exploiting Ferguson to rile up black voters, whom Democrats fear will stay home in November. It is of a piece with the multiple, redundant federal investigations into the shooting. The Obama administration knows full well that Bull Connor doesn't run the Ferguson police department, but it will to pretend that's the case to score political points with the president's base

Obama Praises Muslim Cleric Who Backed Fatwa on Killing of U.S. Soldiers
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 9/24/2014 | Adam Kredo
Posted on September 24, 2014 5:51:51 PM EDT by markomalley
President Barack Obama favorably quoted and praised on Wednesday in his speech before the United Nations a controversial Muslim cleric whose organization has reportedly endorsed the terror group Hamas and supported a fatwa condoning the murder of U.S. soldiers in Iraq.
Obama in his remarks offered praise to controversial cleric Sheikh Abdallah Bin Bayyah and referred to him as a moderate Muslim leader who can help combat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s (ISIL or ISIS) radical ideology.
However, Bin Bayyah himself has long been engulfed in controversy for many of his views, including the reported backing of a 2004 fatwa that advocated violent resistance against Americans fighting in Iraq.
This is not the first time that the Obama administration has extoled Bin Bayyah, who also has served as the vice president of a Muslim scholars group founded by a radical Muslim Brotherhood leader who has called “for the death of Jews and Americans,” according to Fox News and other reports.
The State Department’s Counterterrorism Bureau (CT) was forced to issue multiple apologies earlier this year after the Washington Free Beacon reported on its promotion of Bin Bayyah on Twitter.
“This should not have been tweeted and has since been deleted,” the CT Bureau tweeted at the time after many expressed anger over the original endorsement of Bin Bayyah.
However, it appears that Obama and the White House are still supportive of Bin Bayyah, who, despite his past statements, is still hailed by some as a moderate alternative to ISIL and al Qaeda.
“The ideology of ISIL or al Qaeda or Boko Haram will wilt and die if it is consistently exposed, confronted, and refuted in the light of day,” Obama said before the U.N., according to a White House transcript of his remarks.
“Look at the new Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies—Sheikh bin Bayyah described its purpose: ‘We must declare war on war, so the outcome will be peace upon peace,’” Obama said, quoting the controversial cleric.
Concern over the administration’s relationship with Bin Bayyah started as early as 2013, when outrage ensued after he was reported to have met with Obama’s National Security Council staff at the White House.
While Bin Bayyah has condemned the actions of groups such as Boko Haram and ISIL, he also has taken controversial positions against Israel.
He issued in 2009 a fatwa “barring ‘all forms of normalization’ with Israel,” according to a Fox report on the White House meeting.
Additionally, the notorious 2004 fatwa permitting armed resistance against U.S. military personnel in Iraq reportedly stated that “resisting occupation troops” is a “duty” for all Muslims, according to reports about the edict.
Patrick Poole, a reporter and terrorism analyst who has long tracked Bin Bayyah, expressed shock that the Obama administration would endorse the cleric on the world stage.
“It is simply amazing that just a few months ago the State Department had to publicly apologize for tweeting out it’s support for Bin Bayyah, only to have Barack Obama go before the leaders of the entire world and publicly endorse Bin Bayyah’s efforts,” Poole said.
“It seems that nothing can stop this administration’s determination to rehabilitate Bin Bayyah’s image, transforming him from the Islamic cleric who issued the fatwa to kill Americans in Iraq and calling for the death of Jews to the de facto White House Islamic mufti,” he said.
This type of mentality has contributed to the administration’s foreign policy failures in the region,” Poole said.
“This is a snapshot of why this administration’s foreign policy in the Middle East is a complete catastrophe,” he said. “The keystone of their policy has been that so-called ‘moderate Islamists’ were going to be the great counter to al Qaeda. But if you take less than 30 seconds to do a Google search on any of these ‘moderate Islamists,’ you immediately find they are just a degree or two from the most hardcore jihadis and have little to no difference when it comes to condoning violence.”
A White House official said that the president’s remarks speak for themselves and declined to add anything further.

I may be wrong, but I think the Ferguson police chief making that public apology and making the mistake of trying to do the protest march of peace last night was an effort to try to smooth things over with the community for when the GJ declines to indict due to them finding out what really happened. I don't think it will work - all hell will break loose. :-\
