It's still an awesome car. A guy in our neighborhood has one and usually brings it to our local car shows.

By far the best Ferrari ever created, period, others don't compare, a true supercar...

Ah, ok....

And if given a choice (which doesn't make sense, because if I have the money, one would possibly already have owned both), I would pick this over the Bugatti Veyron. It looks outrageous, sounds outrageous, and is basically a true "race car for the street". Sure, the AC won't work as well, sure, you can hear the wail of the engine, and whine of the gearbox, and sure, no woman would want to sit in it for more than 15 minutes, but isn't that the beauty of it?

step one, buy a 458 engine (from somewhere). Step two, have donor F40 ready.
Step three, marry both.

Some abominations need to exist.

And the way many of the Ferrari owners on Ferrarichat act, they are more concerned with the resale and depreciation of their cars, than actually enjoying them.

Man, those dudes are like, "The McLaren 650 is faster than the 458 Speciale. I have one on order, should I cancel my order and get the 650?"
Or, "I am really disappointed in how the 599 GTO is doing in the resale market"

What do you think about the Kawasaki H2 and H2R and the upcoming Yamaha R1 with supposedly 220-230 hp? Too much hp for users, whether it be street or track? And how do you think Ducati, Honda and BMW will respond (already a leaked pic of "1299" nomenclature)?

I know performance and turbo lag can be issue but late 80s  early 90s cars with ridiculous turbos are amazing to drive. It is like a plane taking off and the noise from waste gate (not sure on spelling) is great. Just fun cars. I had a cosworth with t4 turbo and it was so much fun when turbo kicked in. Can't imagine twin turbo 3.5l car that weighed nothing. Pretty sure it had no ac either parker. They didn't even paint it with several coats to save weight.

Seems odd as ac weighs a fair bit. Classic car prices have gone insane last few years. 250 and 275 gtos have gone up close to 1000% in less than ten years.
