Title: An Article On T-Nation Costs USD 400
Post by: AmonRa on October 05, 2014, 11:36:25 PM
Each author gets about USD 400 for an article on T-Nation. They post 20 articles a month. So, 400 x 20 = USD 8 000 a month for articles.

The only person who might be getting that much is Romano.  Other than that, most of them are getting about 50-100 bucks an article with ....still a great amount though.

That sounds more like bodybuilding.com since they do over $100M a year in revenues.  Looking at T-Nation, I'd say the whole company after expenses clears $8k a month.

There are some good articles on T-Nation but most are just crap pimping Bio-Test supplements.

That's a $400 credit at the Biotest store! Total out-of-pocket expense to T-Nation? $2.46

I have a few friends that writes for T-Nation. One just now told me they started at $350 back in 08' and some of the more popular writers were getting up to $1200. One is a poster on here but If I told you I'd have to kill you....before he kills me.

No you don't you idiot.

I know for a "fact" that CT is on a salary and not a per article deal.

A shitty salary at that.

For better reference, and fact, Weider (ex US) pays M&F / Flex columnists between £200-£1000 per month.

Again you are wrong.

Tim Patterson owns the whole thing and TC is his gopher.

I was not wrong before and his is editor in chief. So he is one of the bosses. Maybe not owning the company but is up there.

Douchebag.

I may be a douchebag but you are wrong on both things. CT is under contract and not paid per article, and TC is a salary man (not "he owns the whole thing") for arch weirdo and freak Tim Patterson.

Well, the "Vince Goodrum" name didn't speak of confidence a long time ago due to my failure at the 2004 Metrolina.  After the 2009 Night of Champions, I gained back some respect however I still use an assumed name.  Ultimately, I leave it up to the publisher as my concern is only that my checks don't bounce ;D

The 2004 Metrolina.......... it's been a decade?

When your competition pics were posted on Mayhem I thought you were done. When you said you messed up your carb load and spilled over I was certain you'd disappear and post under a different handle. When you stuck around I thought you were some sort of hybrid troll/gimmick.

Vince I give you credit you've taken ALOT of abuse over the years but you've weathered the storms to become an industry name; on top of it you've never melted nor, at least as far as I'm aware, gone to the Mods for help/protection.

I honestly think you're the anti Lyane Norton.

We all have much we can learn from you.  Congratulations and Godspeed.
