I tore a tendon in my knee and it was close to the worst pain I've felt in my life.

I've dislocated mine several times, and the pain was so severe, I could barely breathe....I can't imagine a tear like that. :-X

You mean him crying? Cruz probably thought his career or at least his season was over.

It would be interesting to see "the true adonis" at a NFL training camp. He'd be the slowest guy on the field. He'd have the worst power output and hand/eye coordination too. He'd get broken & battered.

No wonder he's a bitter & angry critic.

The pain is incredibly intense - but these guys are competitors (something guys like ta have no understanding of) and the thought of not being able to compete is my guess as to why Cruz is emotional.

i agree,it was probably an overload of emotions that made him cry, hes thinking about his career, his surgery ect, just cause a man cries doesnt make him soft by no means.i know some dudes that will shed a tear watching a sad movie on tv and rip someones head off in a blink of an eye the next minute, some dudes r just more emotional than others thats all

Oh thats funny,

I used to train with a 3rd round NFL Draft Pick named James Hamilton.  Went to UNC and then played for the Jacksonville Jaguars.  He said the opposite.  I was also stronger than he was and he was a Linebacker.

He was 6`5 around 225-230 at the time.  He told me all football player pretty much lie about their stats when it comes to weightlifting and running and so on.  I was deadlifting 500-600 lbs regularly and squatting 365 for 12-15 and he wasn`t doing that.  His bench was about 300-315 or so.  He told me that about 4 or 5 people on the team if that at the time, Jacksonville Jaguars 97-98 could bench over 405 and they were all Offensive Lineman.  I worked out with him from about 2001-2003.

I never did see him run.  I did try to spar with him once in the gym with boxing gloves, but he wouldn`t do it.  Right before I had just knocked down and out the other gym employee in sparring.  Pretty funny stuff!

I miss training with James though, he was a good dude.  Wasted all of his NFL money though and had nothing really to show for it.

I think some of those NFL guys might have a clause in their contract where they are not allowed to participate in stuff like that and if he already seen you knock out one of the other guys in the gym he probably just erred on the side of caution and said it wasn't worth the risk.

He was done playing by then.  He feared that left hook.  My arms were actually longer than his despite him being 6`5 and me being 5`11-6 ft.

Depends on a tear of course but on a clean one, tendon is maybe the easiest thing to fix.
They just bolt it back to the bone.

Long and painful rehab but should be ok.

If Willis McGehee played, what, 9yrs after his totally busted knee, others can too.

adonis could knock your ass out from the next room and not drop his cabernet. don't hate because you've got little t-rex arms and popped a rotator cuff eating a banana.

side note: my heart really goes out to any athlete who sees their career possibly vanish thanks to a single accident. dude's 27, that's gotta be goddamn terrifying to think that your multi-million dollar career could be over and done with when you just barely got old enough to rent a car.

Yes, because I would just pick some random 3rd round draft pick and pretend I worked out with him.
