I drink mostly wine when I am in da club, if you were allowed to carry your own drink I would bring that with me for sure.

The best Getbig whine is, "Ronnie was better than Dorian".

A couple that suit this place just fine. :) Not my twink arms holding those bottles btw.

I have had freakshow before. It's ok, probably around $20 a bottle. Also, had the fat bastard...bought that at a gas station up the street for about $15.

Usually anything J Lohr.

I hear the Rommel has aftertastes of diesel and axle grease, with a muted finish.

Some of these so called companies fail miserably at marketing... ::)

Not by plantation owner standards.

It really is most of the time.
They charge you 'cause it's new wine, then they charge you 'cause it's old wine. How the fuck does that work?
The whole thing is just a big scam for people who want to look like big-shots drinking expensive stuff.
And that whole wine-investing thing - make 12-15% a year investing in wine - yeah, right....
Still - I do like a glass of this one.... not overly expensive but nice with a meal...
But really - wine is the same sort of scam as Gucci handbags, cuban cigars, malt whiskeys etc. etc. etc. - 5000% mark-up stuff that people use to show wealth, when the reality is it's just wealth transfer from new money to old.
-
And that whole wine-investing thing - make 12-15% a year investing in wine - yeah, right....
Actually, if you know the wine market and you're smart at it, 12/15% is NOTHING. Of course, to make a good return on investment you have to be close to the source, have good connections and know exactly what you're buying. And of course, be ready to sell your wines when necessary. Most people who invest in wines don't have a clue what they are buying. Like all those idiots who have been buying Bordeaux wines dot he past ten years.

I am sure this is true.
I'm talking about these "financial advisers" that call up and claim wine is the next big thing and that you can just drop money into it like a mutual find and return 15%.

Well, depends what they are really selling but the vast majority of those guys are scam artists, true. A good friend of mine works for a hedge fund specialized in wines. He's been begging me to buy some of my "nicest" bottles. The prices he's ready to buy it for makes no sense as I don't really see what mark up is left for this fund. At the same time, if you look at that is going on in Burgundy(for the good "vignerons" of course), it does seem there's no stopping the inflation.

I LOVE WINE,,,but I do not buy it to sit on a shelf/or in wine refrigerator,,i buy to drink ...so 10/50 range is what I do...if i'm crazy at times I will go 75/125 for end 'silver oak'tiagnello'brunnello's,,

Not being a Antinori fan, I'll pass on the Tignanello. But if you enjoy Brunello Di Montalcino's, get a bottle of Poggio Di Sotto once. The regular Brunello (not the riserva which ha to age quite a lot). Better prices then Soldera or Biondi Santi but equal quality. You can keep the Napa wines also. God, I'm really not a Cabernet Sauvignon guy.

Montepulciano di Abruzzo are getting ultra pricey these days in my neck of the woods. Up to 40€, you get Emidio Pepe's wines or Marina Cvetic (Masciarelli's widow) but Valentini's wines are out of control for example. That's the problem with the fucking Internet- bloggers, food critics, etc.....only takes one tasting and that shit is all over the place. Next thing, you've got 20 000 Chinese millionaires ready to buy those wines at 3 times the price.

Can't comment on anything over $50. I buy $12-20 wines and if I had anything over $50, I wouldn't have known so

I love wine! Personally don’t care much for the very sweet varieties- I do love a good French Rośe- one of my favorites is Gerard Bertrand Cote de Rose. I'm trying to learn more about wine through https://haywines.co.uk/ , as I discovered there are tons on decent things I haven't tried yet.
