someone tell ronald he should just train arms and stop destroying his back and hips
bitches only care about arms
-
He should just lose weight and cruise and enjoy life.
He's used to being big, it's what defined him, just like Nasser.
You know something was up when he wore that same suit from the 90s at the Mr. O.
He needs to talk to Haney for some guidance.

Yeh - you know what Ronnie is doing - LOL
You internet gurus that know it all are hilarious... Ronnie turned pro clean dumbass - I knew him in college and I GUARANTEE you he was using NOTHING... He was built 4-5 times better than you are right now even before he started lifting seriously...
-
not wise

decent everyday 3gram cruiz
You'd be surprised... Honestly. Being as hyper responsive to gear as we all know he is, you'd think the logic would not escape some of you that minimal amounts would be enough to maintain this physique of his that is a shell of his former self.
-
Maybe he can get to 275 on arm size alone. Like 28".

if the man wants to be 275 and die a little sooner, then he should be free to do that.

Not very bright. One would have thought his priorities would have changed by now.

Not very bright. One would have thought his priorities would have changed by now.
Good point.. but it's all down to how he feels, and what he knows about his body's limits. Not what people think.
-
Better get it done right quick. The heart only has a few more years left.
-
To the end.
-
Arms finally back at 17 inches :-\

uh, sometimes it IS about what people think. There are times people lose sight of reality and destroy themselves trying to hold something they can never have again; people on the outside can see it, the person themselves cannot.
DA was that way. We all saw him destroying himself. He could not.
Then he died.
-

Not very bright. One would have thought his priorities would have changed by now.
that is all that defines him. That makes him happy. He pretty much doesn't have anything else. No real family to keep him grounded. The only stable family that he has are 8 Sandows that have never left his side or house.

Dog to vomit. Pathetic imitation of life.

since he'd been 8 years old, people have been giving props to Ronnie. Every room he enters. Every girl is impressed, every dude wants to be his friend or puff up to impress him.
Ronnie's felt like superman for a long as he can remember. And FIRST, he loses that. Suddenly he looks like everyone else, he's getting dwarfed by these local permabulkers trying to own him in thumbs up shots, dealing with no longer getting the props that were part of his life.
THEN you have to toss in how many times a day he has to hear "Wow, you shrunk!" and "What happened to you" and worst of all, "You used to be so BIG!"
Ronnie knows the numbers. He knows, sadly, his health may give him 5 or 10 years then things are going to go downhill fast. Or he can have 4 or 8 years of being superman again. Or, maybe the gear boosts his immune system, maybe his attitude skyrockets (maybe many of his current probs come from bad habits that come with the depression of being small suddenly).
And maybe he just wakes up every day and just wants to be HUGE again. Screw the costs. Nobody bodybuilds at that level for 30 years because they give a shit about living to 70 lol.
-
Ronald is waiting until he has his 15th child before re-evaluating his priorities.
-
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Exactly, lol... ;D ;D ;D
-
its the mentallity that determines it all, some guys feel maybe they wont be liked or accepted no more if they get smaller, guys like haney, lebrada ect knew there was more to life after bodybuilding and had no problem making the transition.i hope big ron just stays healthy n goes for the leaner look, the man was the best and has nothing left to prove

It's laughable how some of you ignorant fools believe there is necessarily a direct correlation between body weight and longevity as if there is some magic weight, say 175lbs, a man should weigh to ensure life into his 80s.
the more food you slam down the faster you die
proven fact
-

genetics genetics genetics is the main force in determining all that IMO,we can eat better and exercise but at the end of the day its genetics
-

Well, let's ask Nasser...oh wait, we can't.
It's not necessarily the weight, it's what he did to get to that weight. The food, drugs, and training. Plus, he has had two hip replacements. Nobody knows how his heart and kidneys are. A lighter weight, and more focus on other things outside of what he was doing before, might help him.
It seems like LE and bbing were all that he did. I wonder if he could just open up a PI business, something to keep him occupied for the time being.
-
Coleman deserves what is happening to him. He criminally stupid and I will laugh to read about his demise from his years of self abuse.
The Road To the Casket. Indeed.

yep.
Its been shown the body doesnt like being huge, whether is fat or muscle. It puts strain on the bodily systems. Some genetics handle it better than others, but uts still not good.
Several studies have shown that the more calories you eat, the less youll live.
-
(http://i62.tinypic.com/20pvy2v.jpg)
-
And what exactly is happening to him that doesn't happen to many who engage in athletic activity including weight training for several decades? You think he is the first 50-yr old to lay claim to having had a double hip replacement?
Please say something coherent that confirms you're not really this naïve.
-
they did studies and found out that retired famous athletes where most likely to use drugs like cocaine and herion that effect the pleasure centers in the brain, one famous retired UFC fighter said when u have 20,000 people screaming your name and that feeling of winning puts u on a high, when they lose that rush after they retire some guys cant live without that rush and they try to fill the gap in with drugs, the guys that are more stable and have a solid family behind them tend to make out better than the single types
-
I am not necessarily disputing that there may be some benefit to his overall health, as he ages, to maintaining a lighter BW, the factors for determining which are plentiful.
What I firmly dispute is the recurring cacophony of bullshit spewed by ignoramuses each time one of these threads comes up wherein they claim that a higher BW necessarily correlates to decreased life expectancy.
I agree I see a lot of slightly over weight elderly people well into their 80's and 90's. It's all what you eat and just because you don't have abs ::) doesn't mean you will die young.
-
What we know is that he has back and hip surgeries - further speculation about his health is simply that.
Right again, he has talked before about how he goes to the Dr. for checkups and to make sure his BP and blood work is good. Only thing that I don't agree with that he takes is those damn completely worthless statins.
-

What we know is that he is a sponge of a man who lived his life in a toilet bowl of drugs.

Very eloquent. ;D
-
You are conflating your disdain for drugs in bodybuilding with knowledge of his health.
Not really. But I can easily see where someone might think that.
Be well.
-

I saw a video of him once showing how many tablets he took a day.
Many were prescription meds for various ailments brought on by his huge steroid intake.
Thats the dumbest thing I ever saw
I see it on forums with people having sides with a steroid and people advising them to take something to offset the sides.
FFS stop taking whats causing the sides. ::)
-
I appreciate the sentiment, but am interested, if that is not correct, exactly what you mean in your previous post, about him deserving what he has coming to him.
To me, that either assumes you have knowledge the rest of us don't about an impending health issue of his, or, as I mentioned, you seem to be so disgusted by AAS use that you wish him ill.
He's a pathological liar and that is evidenced by his refusal to acknowledge his drug use and instead tout the "supplements" he eondorses. There are videos of him denying drug use further cementing his status as a lying sack of stayroids.
I have spoken with more than a few doctors about AAS and their long term effects especially where abuse such as Coleman's is concerned. His problems are symptomatic of his drug use/abuse and he can expect more and worse in the future. If he has much of one. This is not to say that my supposition (again, based upon educated speculation from the medical profession) will prove false but I doubt it.

What aliments did he have due to steroids?
-
Sometimes I wonder if he reads getbig, and if he watches his own clips on youtube for motivation. The best there is in regards to bodybuild.
-

Blood pressure for one, I cant recall all the other meds he was taking but there were at least 4 prescription meds, one to lower cholesterol as I recall.
Lets not get into a stupid debate about he may have been taking them anyway.
I dont know many people who regularly take multiple prescription meds in their early 40s.

Come on man I know tons of guys on meds on their 40's who never touched a weight in their life. I also know more than a few unfortunately who have had heart attacks in their 40's all due to bad diet drinking and smoking. Over here Docs shove that shit on almost everyone. When I go in for a check up and say I take nothing they always look up and raise an eye brow. I'm not saying Ronnie won't have health probs due to his use but unless something very specific happens he is fitting in the normal group of people his age.

Apart from some painkillers for my back and a few doses of antibiotics I haven't taken any prescription meds in my life.
I know lots of people in the same position as me.
You must mix with some sickly people.
And stop trying to pass yourself off as natty with the doctor, on another note why are you at the docs for a check up if you feel fine?

lol meatheads do this all the time
justify self destructive behavior by comparing it to other forms thereof
"my wife complains i am at the gym all the times but at least i'm not drinking in a bar every night!"
"steroids may be bad, but cigarettes and booze will kill you!"
it's just funny to me, why cant they simply admit they are destroying themselves but doing what they want

great post.
i especially hear the first one a lot
and i roll my eyes "yes because every non bodybuilder is an alcoholic sitting in the pub from 5 pm to midnight" ::)
the delusional teenage versions do this as well "sure i may spend up to $250 a month on supplements but at least i'm not spending it on partying, alcohol and drugs"
i see carry on then, blowing up to 3000 a year on fart powders ::)

It's difficult for me to to mesh what you're posting in this thread with your avatar and self-proclaimed status under said avatar.
i think bodybuilders should simply shut their mouth or admit their are steroid junkies
stop trying to imply every non bodybuilder is an alcoholic so you chose the lesser evil
-
he definitely does watch his own DVDS a lot
he said so himself
watches the unbelievable a lot
And that's part of the problem. The man has brainwashed himself. That if he is not as big or as good as his former self, then he is ______.
He has a torn tricep and lat, his arms will never look the same, he will never look the same, and he needs to realize that. Maybe a trip to a shrink might help. He seems to have a lot of time on his hands.
Or look for the next "Ronnie Coleman" by mentoring at risk youth---getting them involved in weight training and sharing his love of it.

You are trying and not succeeding to justify what you have stated by delving into my personal life. Who I hang out with has nothing to do with statistical evidence when it comes to the population and age of people who are on prescription meds. Stop trying to sound so well informed and intelligent it just isn't working for you.
OK I'll add this, as far as some low dose anabolics I have never used slin ,Gh thyroid diuretics I've never even had an energy drink. In fact I have never once in my life had a Coke or Pepsi. I do countless hours of research on life extension as it pertains to diet, anti-oxidants etc. Six years ago a had a calcium heart scan and scored a zero had the gambit of tests and have been told I'm in great health. The only thing I have delt with is sleep apnea which is resolved.

You mix with people who take prescription meds, I don't.
And get to fuck with the veiled natty claims, this isn't bodybuilding.com
275lbs at 5'10 with abs in your 40s.
Yeah, that sounds natty.

If you want to just troll then thats fine, but don't expect to be taken seriously when you don't.
WTF is wrong with the term "mix"?
Would you prefer it if I used the word "associate"?

- Bodhi
This is a profound scene in not only cinematic history but also in life - as it very much applicable to the world of bodybuilding.
Agent Utah to Bodhi: you lose something brah?
You see here Utah symbolizes the realm of the natty...that which is pure without drugs. But Bodhi won't go back to being natty. " you know I can't handle a cage man" - says Bodhi. You see here Bodhi speaks of the limitations of naturalism and also the "comedown" from his climax/prime.
You then see Bodhi paddle out in his last hoorah moment of peace like an expired bodybuilder past his prime. One last wave.
"You let him go"
No he didn't.

Also notice at the beginning of the scene the guy walking away from the beach says "death on a stick". This is bodybuilder who sees the needle for what it is...and decides to walk away.
Also, the fight between Agent Utah(natty police) and Bodhi(transcended/drugged/enhanced) speaks of the internal struggle of the aging boderbuilder. If you notice, they are joined together via hand cuffs.
As you all can see, this a profound moment and scene.

maybe ronnie is reading anabolichalo posts. This could have inspired him to get huge again and get the girls.
-
Coleman will also beat Cutler to the grave. He's on fire!
You can see recent shots of Coleman's eyes looking most unhealthy. Cutler looks surprisingly healthy, despite the barrage of injections over the years.
Seeing old guys not letting go of the being huge thing is odd. It's one thing when you're 25 and another when you're 50. Evolution isn't in the cards for some. Not to mention, winning 8 Olympias...what else is there to prove in the bbing world? I understand these guys are simply addicted. The over under is 5 years..who wants to put some money up?

oh man
it would be the best thing that ever happen to me
ronald dean coleman himself readin my postings
Maybe if you message him nicely, he'll give you those pink soiled posing trunks for your mantel. You have to be real nice though.
-
Ronnie.. Tard of peace....
-
not wise
check yourself before you give a champion training advice. These guys know their bodies extremely well and are surrounded by an expert team. I'm sure he's fully following medical advice. Things are just different when you're a genetic freak.
-
that is all that defines him. That makes him happy. He pretty much doesn't have anything else. No real family to keep him grounded. The only stable family that he has are 8 Sandows that have never left his side or house.
U know u might be right. Both him and Jay :-\
They should both get together and relive the old days and both pose privately in thongs to see who's better
-
You don't seem to understand that whether the topic is bodybuilding or surfing its all the same.
If you want the ultimate, you got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. - Bodhibuilder Patrick Swayze
You see its fundamentally the same story of passion and self-destruction.
Lol ~ Good one ~ ;D
-
Why not shoot for 280?
-
Coleman will also beat Cutler to the grave.
Jay did have a live-in RN for a time (his ex) and he was very .... mmmm how do you say? Let's just say he constantly had bloodwork done and probably stopped things and tweaked things when they saw his panels taking a turn in the wrong direction.
Now, he is still "on" but he is not "competition on" ~
He invested his money well, he will be running a business for years to come, much like Lee Labrada.. .(I was gonna say Gaspari, but...ya know)
Jay I think wants to be around for awhile. The rest? They kinda seem to have a death-wish mentality.
Not all, don't get me wrong. Dexter Jackson has toned it down and settled for less.. Branch unfortunately has to keep pushing the envelope... Tony Freeman seems ageless... like I said "not all" but that 212 class is pretty scary. It's like they got a chip on their shoulders and want to compete with guys 70 lbs heavier than they are..
I don't know... "little man syndrome??"
The future will tell.. very soon.

Get back up to 274?
Wasn't Ronnie really at his best when he beat Flex Wheeler at around 254?
-
he definitely does watch his own DVDS a lot
he said so himself
watches the unbelievable a lot
Palumbo asked him "do you watch your pictures when you were a monster or you pose in fron of a mirror" RONNIE LIAR replied "noooo I dont do it"
then in the second interview he said he watces every day old clips of himslef...he is a liar
-
Keep playing the size game will tax his hypertrophied heart and reduce his life span. He should keep fit but not big. Nasser and Kovacs did it and look were they are now.
-
Let the man do what he wants. It's not like he has much else to do anyway.
-

no shit
-
Isn't he doing that to boost his supplement line?
-
;D
-
To the end.
Once more, unto the breach.
-
;D
Ronnie probably looks at that pic and weeps, for he will never look like that again, but he will kill himself so that he can.
It's sad...we are watching probably the most insane Mr. O literally try and destroy himself--again.
So, can one ask are we seeing a mental illness? Is the bodybuilding/weightlifting mentality a mental illness?
-

never say never
i believe

225 is good, just keep those arms jacked. ;)
-
We shall heal our wounds, collect our dead and continue fighting.
-
it's the worst thing when a former champion becomes Delusional....Sad thing...a dog should never return to its vomit
-
He should just lose weight and cruise and enjoy life.
He's used to being big, it's what defined him, just like Nasser.
You know something was up when he wore that same suit from the 90s at the Mr. O.
He needs to talk to Haney for some guidance.
Haney, Yates and even Cutler can teach this former cop something....I'm sure there is a self help book outthere named: know when to quit
-
Coleman deserves what is happening to him. He criminally stupid and I will laugh to read about his demise from his years of self abuse.
The Road To the Casket. Indeed.
:-X...that's cold... ;D
-
Who will die first, Ronnie or Piana?
-
Who will die first, Ronnie or Piana?
Life is funny you could die before both of them.
-
they did studies and found out that retired famous athletes where most likely to use drugs like cocaine and herion that effect the pleasure centers in the brain, one famous retired UFC fighter said when u have 20,000 people screaming your name and that feeling of winning puts u on a high, when they lose that rush after they retire some guys cant live without that rush and they try to fill the gap in with drugs, the guys that are more stable and have a solid family behind them tend to make out better than the single types
I believe this is true on many levels. His identity is linked to his status as a bodybuilder. He doesn't know anything else, nothing seems to be giving him the same type of recognition. Unless he ponders and make new associations and find something else that can define him, he will always strive to "get big" again, no matter what the consequences might be.
I don't judge him at all though because I do the exact same thing with my carreer and I found most people do the same as well with either hobbies or interests in their life... Some things might be more detrimental to one's health than others but than again, what is the point of living without carrying something forward....
-

Yes, exactly. Haney was grounded and had a family. And looks healthy, and trains people. Dorian has his supp line, but he is out having a great time with his Brazilian wife. He's enjoying life. When he competed he was all about "work ethic". Cutler, while divorced, seems to enjoy himself from time to time.
Maybe Ronnie should call up Cutler and hang out in Vegas...
Start some training business. With Cutler's business and branding skills, and Ronnie known for his personal "aw shucks" demeanor and work ethic they may have something going.
Or since Ronnie loved training, loves bodybuilding...he should scout and help develop new talent.
Or get into the surveillance/PI/bodyguard business.
As Shawn Ray said, "what made Ronnie, broke Ronnie", and Ronnie agreed.
But, now it's "what made Ronnie, has deluded him and will leave him destroyed and alone."
-
Life is funny you could die before both of them.
Yes, I may have a heart attack or stroke right as I click on the "post" button-
however...
The difference is I'm not killing myself; these guys are-and they actually think someone gives a shit how they look...
-
someone tell ronald he should just train arms and stop destroying his back and hips
bitches only care about arms
Steroids (not lifting weights) ruined his hips. Do you know how many guys who were on steroids needed hip replacement surgery? Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Jesse Ventura, Lou Ferrigno, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.
-
Not very bright. One would have thought his priorities would have changed by now.
Why would one have thought that? He has lived and breathed bodybuilding his entire life. It wasn't just a damn hobby. He's an 8 time Mr. Olympia and clearly has never been the sharpest tool in the shed.
-
Arms finally back at 17 inches :-\
Yeah, that's kind of sad. Wonder what they got down to? This man had legit 24" guns at his heaviest.
-
I dont give a fuck about your personal life.
Jeez there are some fucking touchy people on this forum
You mix with people who take prescription meds, I don't.
And get to fuck with the veiled natty claims, this isn't bodybuilding.com
275lbs at 5'10 with abs in your 40s.
Yeah, that sounds natty.
He's 50.
-
This is a profound scene in not only cinematic history but also in life - as it very much applicable to the world of bodybuilding.
=
Point Break is such a kick ass movie.
-
Good film but those supposed Ozzie accents at the end are terrible.
-

lol explain to me how steroids ruined his hips I'm dying to hear this.
-
Yeh - you know what Ronnie is doing - LOL
You internet gurus that know it all are hilarious... Ronnie turned pro clean dumbass - I knew him in college and I GUARANTEE you he was using NOTHING... He was built 4-5 times better than you are right now even before he started lifting seriously...
No you didnt.
Just stop.
-
No you didnt.
Just stop.
lol the kids a dork dude.
who else would say something like this
I think "Booty" knows that she is beautiful. Now she may not be up to the standards of all the millionaire - muscle gods on GB - but to a tiny little broke fella like me she is A- OK.
-
lol the kids a dork dude.
who else would say something like this
That is one of the cringier things I have read on getbig.
I'm not even kidding, "FaggotGorilla" is one of the smaller guys, and a horrid poster.
I shit better quality than he posts.
-
are you suggesting 'fellateadildo' is a 150lb skinnyfat dork who's never kissed a girl that wasn't his sister?
-

Yes.
That was exactly what I was suggesting.
Do you think its demeaning for him to wake up every morning knowing that this is the best its ever going to get for him?
-

I think for guys like him the Internet offers 'hope'. the reality of his situation is tempered w the whole idea that 'maybe, just maybe one day I'll meet a girl' as evidenced by that embarrassing self beta-isation.
I've seen a lot of posts in my 10yr career here. but that one is at the top of the 'I'm a bitch' list.
how does he get out of bed? imagine what he looks like? Jesus.

I try not to ponder these thoughts.
"Lesser men" have a way of polluting minds. If you spend any amount of time attempting to rationalize how a person got to be as pathetic as him, you will start making poor choices; missing training sessions, drive thru food, respecting a womans equal rights etc etc and other things of that estrogen backed nature.
-
good point.
-

Talk to Superstar Billy Graham. His hips were powdered by the stuff or so his surgeons told him for when they opened him up for replacement time it was said by Graham that his hips were not just falling apart but were bone dry dust in many areas.
Coleman and his "legacy". Dust in the bin. Yup. All they are is dust in the bin. ;D Dammit. I just made a melodic funny!

eat a dog's asshole.....you bitch!

If I quoted Superstar Billy Graham to you, as having once said that AAS were (fill in the blank how you'd like), you'd harangue me for having the uneducated audacity to quote such white trash on anything medical. Yet you seem to hold his opinion as to what caused his hips to disintegrate (despite having had a physically rigorous career in pro wrestling) as being attributable to AAS as correct because it fits your anti-AAS framework.
I REMEMBER during that time 1991 or close when graham stated that drugs attributed to his condition causing arthritis or injections wearing down in the area ,he was broken down looking then,.the tie dyed era look he had then..
