Dwayne Johnson was profiled in an in-depth piece by Fortune last week, where he told reporter Daniel Roberts about the challenges he has faced and overcome in his life and what motivates him to work a ferocious pace on a plethora of projects, be it in front of a camera or with his production company 7 Bucks Entertainment.
During the course of the interview, the subject of steroids came up. The Rock has admitted in the past that he tried steroids when he was younger (in an interview with Josh Horowitz of MTV in 2009 to promote Race to Witch Mountain, The Rock said: “Me and my buddies tried it back in the day when I was 18 or 19. Didn’t know what we were doing.”)
But in the piece with Fortune, Johnson was clear that aside from that period of experimentation, he has led a steroid-free life. He also had a very clear message to those who take to Internet forums and doubt the veracity of his physical preparation. “Sure, you get a lot of people out there who will suspect, and say shit,” he told Roberts. “They want to negate the hard work you put in.”
For The Rock, sanctuary is found in the daily grind in the gym. "Training is my anchor. Being on a regimented schedule, setting a goal, failing at a goal. It’s the philosophies of being an athlete that carry me today.”

The general public has always viewed steroids as a form of cheating. This is essentially why steroids are taboo.

Exactly but it must have started somewhere to get that perception?
I'm not sure but I'm willing to bet its viewed differently in Russia and China but US be damned

Started at the Olympics.
Definitely viewed differently elsewhere as it's easily accessible ( ala Pharmacy ) in quite a few other countries.

Dodging a question about using steroids isn't denying using steroids.
-
the country of hypocrism
That hypocrism is needed to allow the country to continue to function, and to allow you the benefits you enjoy. Sadly.
-
Yes, what he should be doing is telling the world about his usage of tren and gh. This would make a ton of sense given his world wide success.

over 10 years ago in Bush's state of the Union address, for some reason came out against steroids and bashed them while using Tom Brady as the poster child for being clean. Not sure the purpose but timing then showed baseball getting busted and of course Bush ran the Texas Rangers when Sammy Sosa was there so he probably was settiing up for the backlash
-
He can thank his disciplined diet of Squirrel Eggs and Almonds. (15 at a time only)

If DLB and the cRock collaborated on a book of natural bodybuilding it could be a game changer for humanity.

not when there's potential millions at stake. blame societys hypocrisy rather than the rock being economical with the truth. he hasn't got much choice in the matter..

yes but then he'd gain the 'respect' of a bunch of skinny/fat 160lb twinks on a message board who don't even train. lol
