Abbott won the woman vote 52 to 47 while running against a female candidate and lost the Hispanic male vote by only 2 points.
Plus he is a good candidate. He'll be the Texas Governor for the next 15 years if he chooses.

Thats actually not true, vince. A hispanic pew survey released indicated hispanics were actually quite liberal and were in favor of bigger government. More Hispanics consider themselves non-religious than ever before.

Repubs will RACE to be the authors of amnesty, before obama. watch and see, it'll be the FIRST thing they tackle. Not impeachment, not budget reform. I predict they will RACE to legalize all the illegal criminals, in order to pander for their vote.

Texas will never turn blue as long as the GOP secures the border, eliminate all economic assistance for illegals, eliminate anchor baby law and start deportations of all illegals who refuse to obey our laws. They do that, they will be fine.

The link I posted above confirms how Hispanic voters lean. Does anyone honestly believe if the Democrats really thought Hispanics were potential Republicans they would be pushing so hard for amnesty.

Keep fucking over coal and blue collar people and that's what you get. The coal unions can't in good faith support the current dem party and their alliance with far left wacko environmentalist. If the auto industry got pushed into a corner in the same fashion the UAW would fold and whatever took its place would have to support republicans. The more dems push shit on guns and throw big dinner fundraisers in LA, the more isolated they become from white America. Blacks will have to wake up at some point as well.

Senator John Cornyn beat his Democrat opponent by 27 points as well.
I just can't see a Republican Governor or Senator candidate losing in Texas over the next 20 years.

FORT WORTH, Texas -- It was a major victory for conservatives at the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame at the Stockyards when Tea Party favorite Konni Burton (R-Colleyville) won Senate District 10, the state senate district seat that has been occupied by Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) since 2009.
Burton's campaign slogan had been "Take Back SD 10" and she took it back surrounded by 200-plus friends, family, and community supporters. Burton was declared the winner with 86,182 votes and 52.19% of the vote. Democratic opponent Libby Willis, who was hand-picked by Davis to fill her progressive pink sneakers, only got 75,030 votes and 45.44% of the vote.
Senate District 10 has been a pivotal race statewide. The Burton win inches Republicans closer to an upper legislative chamber supermajority. According to a rule in the Texas Senate, two-thirds of the 31 member Senate, which equals 21 senators, must agree before a bill gets to the floor for debate. Burton's win gives the Republicans 20 seats and puts that supermajority goal into a visible range.
