My skin looks terrible right now. I've been excited about my new protein powder flavors that came in the mail, so I've been doing two scoops a day instead of just one. I've generally been dieting during the week, so a large portion of my calories and protein come from whey protein powder.
Can breakouts be caused by a high protein diet? Or, is it whey in particular (dairy products) that is the culprit here?
Halp! I need to be beautiful
Advice, please

That could be it. The protein just makes me so full, I'm practically force feeding myself vegetables...so I just eat fewer of them since I don't have an appetite.

Do not question the falcon - one glass a day would have no adverse effects.

it could be from the whey protein. People sensitive to lactose can have breakouts...

Every day (aside from weekends) pretty much looks like this:
- coffee with soymilk
- apple, sometimes some Greek yogurt
- scoop of whey protein with water or with soymilk
- meat with vegetables
- varies: another scoop of protein, or another apple, or some almonds

I found this article on protein powders
http://www.acneeinstein.com/whey-protein-acne/
Key point is that the same hormone that promotes muscle growth also promotes acne

It could be from the whey protein powder and from higher protein.

Genetics and hormonal, especially in women.

Probably the coke and KFC. Maybe getting out of the attic to get some sun would help, but I doubt the weathers very nice in London right now?

Hmm it shouldn't be my hormones at this time
I'll continue doing what I'm doing for another week or two and see if it clears up. If it does clear up, I'lloknow it wasn't the powder. If it still doesn't clear up, I'll cut out protein shakes and see where that leaves me.
But check out the article I posted, I think it's interesting
