Got these tips from ~150lbs twinks (fellow physicists and beginning bb enthusiasts)
- you need at least 2 gr per kg/bw
- never do cardio on the same day as you lift weights
- the choice of protein source (chicken, fish, red meat etc) is crucial for gains
- the protein intake must be spread out over the day
etc etc.
Wtf is wrong with these people? Delusion?
They've spent a couple of weeks into weightlifting and nutrition and they are already "experts". ::)

Outed
The only "beginning bodybuilding enthusiasts" are young men.

They are 24-26 :-X
You forget that these people are physicists, the very people who most likely got picked last for gym classes.

People who have mediocre genetics will try and find some way to overcome them, usually by doing a ton of research on the internet.

Some of the people with the best physiques I've seen would do weights then cardio afterwards. So tell the twinks to go fuck themselves.
One guy had the best build for pussy smashing, he'd do cardio before weights. So again tell the twinks to go fuck themselves.

Somehow, this feels like the most likely explanation. People like them are obsessed with assimilating information, reading up on stuff until they think they know everything. It would seem like they get stuck in the theoretical part and never really advances to the practical application.
But I don't think the genetics is the biggest reason to this behaviour, I'd say it comes down to them trying too hard to "not making any mistake".

Honestly, I think the main reason is impatience. At first, you can do pretty much anything and get results. But after the initial gains inevitably slow down, people think "what am i doing wrong" and do research to try to find the reason.
The problem lies in the fact that nobody wants to acknowledge the role that consistency & time play.... Building a strong, quality physique takes a whole lotta time, but nobody wants to hear that. So they try and find that magic combination of programming, diet, and rest.
Some eventually realize that the details aren't important and just lift & eat instinctively....others never figure this out.

Bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts tend to be selfish, know-it all's who think they have it all figured out. They are dead set on being right all the time in order to make up for their deflated egos and rejection from others.
