Title: Control bodybuilding with weight classes / length ratio
Post by: Julio Ceasar on November 16, 2014, 05:27:28 AM
What if IFBB made up some new rules...

Maximum 230 pound bodyweight for 6" tall guys...etc...

Then Bodybuilding would become healthy again, more aesthetic and we would have a lineup of 10 bob Paris guys. If u cant increase bodyweight the contenders would have to focus on being as ripped as possible and and muscle where it count! If they are like 230 pound and want bigger arms, they need o relocate bodymass, either way getting more ripped or slim down the waist, train less legs etc...I think this rule would bring back the Godlikepysics on the stage again.

My tough ts!

Like 210 Claus in Mr O top 6 look fabulous, but unfortunately they are to short...doesn't get the flow and aesthetic!

Thoughts thoughts...

Convince this type guy that there needs to be a limit on the amount of muscle attached to a human frame

MuscleMania is what bodybuilding should be about. That is the image.
The schmoes need to get their eyes check, or a schmoe with a keen eye in business and marketing needs to set the lesser schmoes "straight".

They should make a tall versus heavy category.

Must be atleast 5 10 in contest and measure 5 11 sometime in that year.

It's called bodyBUILDING. You don't like it? Then simply unfollow it.
"They should..." LOL, why not start your own federation?

Two types of bodybuilders - the mass freak physiques like Heath, Wolf, Greene.  Or the perfect symmetry physiques, like Flex Wheeler, Shawn Ray, etc.

But in the world of pro bodybuilders, the mass freaks usually beat out the symmetry.

Not always right, but the judges have usually gone that way.

Been discussed previously but always shot down by the all drugs crowd as anyone advocating it isnt hardcore enough anymore, would have saved bodybuilding  in my opinion, others with opinions against would say stopped it progressing. The sport hasnt progressed at all the current look is all drugs and whilst haneys physique couldn't be built on anabolcic mega packs and life essence, anyone would agree that guys abuse far greater than guys from that era.

Ron as you know bodybuilding is all but dead here in CA. Because the judges have generally given favor to the more massive physiques many would be great smaller bodybuilders are now doing men's physique. Hell the last show in Arizona the top 5 were essentially great middleweights in board shorts. While height/ weight restrictions will never happen it would have helped if bodybuilding judging more often rewarded the more balanced physiques as I believe decades of judging in the other direction has dried up the talent pool big time.
