Great book, but half of it is just his first book rehashed.

It was good until I started realizing how much of it was lies and bullshit.

It was around the time he got busted for the waterless-gape fiasco.

I lost faith in him completely after that.

I started reading his older book, Education of a Bodybuilder the other day. I just got past the part where he discusses his Schmoe encounter and how he "turned the offer down".

Get the Unauthorized biography if you can. Try Abe Books i got a second hand copy for like $8. It will tell you the truth even if it is written by someone contracted by the Democrat Party because Arnold helped win the 1988 election for Bush.

The only thing is Wendy Leigh seemed to mess up on the whole steroid story. She claims he was on hormones since 15! It was more likely he started at 18 from the looks of it, not to mention he gained 25 lbs that year.

I agree Wendy Leigh was told to have it in for him and in Barbara Outland's book she said Wendy offered her $25K to go on the record! 25K in 1988! So clearly there was a major backer there and it was the Democrat Party getting info for when Arnold ran for office because he was so popular.

But like the majority of people including many on this board she had no idea about roids and all her info came from Arnold's first gym buddies or that other Black bodybuilder who's name escapes me now who had it in for Arnold too. He was probably on the gear from 16 possibly 15 i highly doubt 13 he wasn't even training then makes no sense.

I absolufuckinly LOVE this book.

Arnold IS honest. Not stupid but has awesome values. I fucking love him to the core. I missed him by 15mins 3 years ago and I was devastated.

Yes, honest .......

as long as I heard he dedicated just half a page to the most controversial competition in bodybuilding history ,  the 1980 Mr.O

I said thanks.  but no thanks .

WoooSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Got the book a couple of years ago. Big mistake in there, the ghost writer said John grimek was the first Mr O. Obviously Arnold knows that's not the case, someone didn't check facts

Arnold IS honest.

Do you actually believe that part where he says he tried steroids once, he got heavy and didn't like how he felt and was natural ever since?  ::)

I've only skimmed thru TR, so I haven't really gotten thru much of it(noticed a lot of boring shit about his courtship of Maria and fawning over sarge shriver) but I'm surprised he brought that up.

he mentions that he had an affair with bridget nielsen just before marrying maria, i was surprised that he took cheating so lightly even back then
