Why is that some people respond better to training than others ?
A new study into the genetics of fitness may have the answers.
There a 2 variants of the gene, an 'X' & an 'R' and U inherit 1 from each parent.
If U have 2 copies of the 'R' gene, it's likely that you're good at explosive sports like sprinting.
If U have 2 copies of 'X' gene , then U may be better at endurance sports like marathon running.
Most of the population sits in the middle as 'RX'.
So, if U never win Mr.Universe title (sucks :-[), blame your parents :D.
Check your genes or U could be wasting time.
Aussie GB's can do this at the New Institute of Sports, Exercise & Active Living at Victoria University (& is free :))
