Title: executive orders
Post by: Necrosis on November 22, 2014, 11:06:26 AM
Why is everyone on Obama's dick about it? he actually has used less EO's then Bush are far less then many other presidents, he is one of the lowest in history in fact. Yet idiots on here act like he is going around waving a magic EO wand. Another bullshit farce by the right?

it's because of the HUGE impact of some of his orders.

Amnesty - Anyone who has been living here illegally for 5+ years can stay.  Just obama decided on his OWN.

Now, Reagan said the same thing - ANyone living here for 4+ years is LEGAL.  But the difference is, he sat down with congress and got a bill they all could agree upon.  In our constitutional republic, we chose those poeple to vote for us, and they agreed on amnesty.

Many people (middle rino repubs) are outraged over the administrative procedural failure, not amnesty itself.  They were okay when reagan did it because he worked with congress.  Obama just did that shit solo, with congress and the nation against it.

All executive orders are not created equally.  It's not an apples to apples comparison.  The problem isn't the amount of the executive orders, it's what is contained in some of those executive orders.  Are you trolling or are you really that stupid?

Exactly.  It's the NUMBER of EOs that count.
When the next president only uses one EO to make himself exalted ruler until he dies he'll win the prize as most compromising president/God-king ever.

Good idea, compare Obama to the President who committed the most unconstitutional acts in history

I don't like executive orders regardless of who does it.  The problem with Obama is that he went out of his way to repeatedly say he did not have the power to do what he just did.  He also criticized Bush for using executive orders.

Another problem is that the justification Obama used doesn't hold up to scrutiny.  He had ample time to act before now.  The plan he promotes doesn't solve any problems, is not enforceable nor is it an expedient solution.  He could have easily waited until the new Congress was in session.

Just as dems will pee their pants crying when President Cruz uses them.

I agree, although I doubt waiting for Congress would have helped.  He has shown he is unable to work with Congress.

Still, that doesn't justify his unconstitutional executive order.
