Both. Its not one or the other, you stupid bastard. Genetics, plus your lifestyle is contributing to your healthy gums/teeth. If you had good genetics but did not brush your teeth for 15 years, I bet the turn out would have been much different. Similarly, if you had bad genetics for healthy gums and teeth, having a good lifestyle can compensate for shit genetics. However, sometimes the genetic pull is so strong that even lifestyle won't help.

With most things, there is usually an interaction of genetics and environment (lifestyle).

holy shit, no flossing - your breathe must smell like shit. And that's one of those things no one wants to tell you.

haha, probably true. If it were true... If you eat meat, that gets stuck between your teeth. A cavity would form, so something is off about your story here.

Must be disgusting when they do floss your teeth though...

I bet the dentists hate this new beard trend, I'd have to wear gloves, would be grossed out to be pressing up against some facial "man bush" ahahaha...

x2.

I go to the dentist very infrequently. Dunno why, I have great insurance. Always have a clean bill of oral health from the dentist.

I am a can a day dipper (copenhagen) cigars regularly, diet soda addict, weekend drinker, never drink coffee though.

I do brush multiple times a day. Never floss, and always use Dr Katz mouth wash.

I was a good decade without going then the shit hit the fan. It's only a question of time before something major happens. Oh well, enjoy those jobs that take 3-5 appointments to get done, lol. Fuck I hate going there. Spent 3k on my teeth this summer so no summer vacation for me as it's straight out of my pocket...
