Evolution isn't always positive.  Evolution doesn't move in a linear direction toward progress.  Unfortunately bodybuilding is a testament to that.

RORY was great,,but posting a guest posing 'spongy'heath condition over a contest condition rory is not fair comparison.

That'd be hard because Zane had clavicles.

Also, how close to a comp is those rory pics? It's widely (<- no phil hate) known bbers looked better year round before

He's not just reading this, he's melting down over it and losing sleep over it.

His beautiful wife is probably trying to get him to come to bed, but he won't budge. There's something on his mind that's eating him alive. Someone on the internet called him a name! He probably won't even recover.

Leidelmeyer was an aesthetic freak, one of my favorites of all time, blows The Shrimp out of the water, obviously...

u know whats funny is that when they said RELAX back in the day it meant RELAX on stage, pure example is these pics here, look at rory and bob, they r slightly flexing their muscles and it looks great. then look at ron and jay and phil and kia ::)man how times have changes

Samir Bannout wrote about this on facebook. He said relaxed not to look like a spreading eagle scarecrow on stage. He is right

They would look like shit compared to Paris and Leidelmeyer, if standing really relaxed... Just look at Cutler and Heath, although for different reasons, both have horrible structure and shape, The Shrimp would disappear and The Fridge would look even blockier and shittier...

That is a legendary pic/capture of Leidelmeyer and Paris. Epic. Usually Leidelmeyer seemed to fuck up his contest preps though and come in soft. He would be huge in the offseason and then lose muscle mass AND be soft come competition time.

Leidelmeyer had a phenomenal physique... Never saw his back, but from the front, even though he wasn't super wide, he had a perfect blend of mass and aesthetic... Those black-and-white gym pics are legendary... Incredible how him and Mendenhall never became pros, far better bodybuilders than many of the bloated oilbags on the Olympia stage today...

Yes, there where several guys during the 80s who where incredible but never went pro. Compare the leidelmeyer/paris pic to Coleman/Cutler, the latter two look like shit.

Those physiques of the early to mid 80s are my absolute favourites.

Absolutely agree, 70s, 80s and early 90s were the golden years...

The 80's was very special in terms of fashion....think of "glam rock,"  David Lee Roth, David Bowie, The Village People and others.

I will never understand how a guy on steroids can lose size
