A gunman shot dead two NYPD officers in Brooklyn before apparently taking his own life, NYPD sources tell AOL News.
Ismaaiyl Brinsley, a 28-year-old black male, posted multiple times to a now-deleted Instagram account that he was getting revenge for the death's of Staten Island man Eric Garner and Missouri teen Michael Brown. One of the posts included his blood spattered pants.

"I'm putting wings on a pig today. They take 1 of ours..... Let's take 2 of theirs #ShootThePolice #RIPErivGardner [sic] #RIPMikeBrown This may be my final post, I'm putting pigs in a blanket," he wrote in the caption of a handgun.
"Erase this man come on," a follower wrote.
A second post a short time later appears to have been made shortly after he gunned the officers down.
"Never had a hot gun on your waist and blood on your shoe... N***a you ain't [sic] been through what I been through you not like me and I'm not like you #BrooklynGoHard #ConeyIsland."
People reading the post were shocked.
"Wow," wrote one.
"This f*****g terrorist piece of s**t," wrote another.
A third said: "You're going to be dead soon enough. Enjoy hell dumba**. You just killed yourself defending another lowlife."
The picture with the second post shows blood spattered camouflage pants and shoes matching the ones worn by a man taken from the subway station where police sources say the man was found dead.

And Mayor DeBlasio at his press conference ends it by “saying a few words in Spanish”. What a despicable leftist politician.

Mayor de Blasio held court on Friday with ringleaders of the city protests that have led to cop assaults and other mayhem — lending a sympathetic ear as they ticked off their demands.
Hizzoner had tried to keep the location of his meeting with the members of Justice League NYC a secret, but reporters discovered it was at the Midtown offices of a union connected to the one that employs a man charged with busting an NYPD lieutenant’s nose on the Brooklyn Bridge.
“They have a list of demands, some which I agree with, some which I don’t,” de Blasio said as he left the confab at 1199 SEIU’s headquarters.

1) investigate anyone behind this, anyone who helped him, charge and imprison them for life.
2) You gotta stop this blue wall bullshit. People are tired of this. This cop from the Garner thing - He had been charged THREE times with publicly stripping people and searching their genitals. NYPD paid off a huge settlement for it, and he was still on the street. Standards need to be higher - if you are stripping citizens to their ball sack in crowded streets, you shouoldn't be a cop.
And make it OKAY for cops to snitch on other cops. And make it a felony to LIE on a police report. They never mentioned any use of hands/arms around throat, no choke, no submission holds, in the initial report. That's insane. IF IF IF the cop was in jail right now for lying on that report - I bet most of these protests would never have happened. The fact a cop can just LIE on report that puts you in jail for a decade, and there's ZERO consequence.... amazing.
so I hope nobody thinks I'm defending cop killers. If he wasn't dead already, I'd support execution quick for him. BUT you'll never stop all lunatics - you can only hope to minimize their impact, that's part of life. Police need to stop this blue wall crap.

President Barack Obama was briefed on the ambush killing of two NYPD cops while on the golf course in Hawaii this afternoon, according to the White House press pool report.
“The President has been briefed on the Brooklyn police shooting. White House officials continue to monitor the situation,” reported Wall Street Journal’s Carol Lee.
Obama endured harsh criticism for golfing minutes after issuing a statement on the beheading of James Foley at the hands of Muslim militants in September.
“You know, it is always a challenge when you’re supposed to be on vacation because you’re followed everywhere. There’s always going to be some tough news somewhere,” Obama said. “I should have anticipated the optics.”
NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were “assassinated” in their squad car Saturday, Commissioner Bill Bratton told reporters. The suspect, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 28, had posted violent anti-police messages on social media, including an Instagram picture showing blood on his pant leg which was reportedly taken after the attack. Earlier that day, he posted threatening images with the caption: “I’m Putting Wings On Pigs Today. They Take 1 Of Ours…Let’s Take 2 of Theirs,” adding the hashtags, #ShootThePolice #RIPEricGarner, and #RIPMike Brown.
In a statement issued from his vacation spot, Obama said there was “no justification” for the killings.

Second Assassination On NYC COPS Attempted and Averted!
NY Daily News ^ | 12/21/2014 | kackikat

This SUNDAY morning a SECOND ATTEMPT ON COPS IN NYC.
Debbie Egan-Chin/New York Daily News
A second slay attempt on NYPD officers was narrowly avoided early Sunday when a gunman’s weapon jammed as he took aim at two cops outside a Bronx housing project, sources said.
Investigators grabbed the wannabe cop killer after he dropped his gun and ran into the Millbrook Houses on Saint Anns Ave. in Port Morris, sources said.
Earlier, Brinsley made good on his sinister promise, firing several rounds into the marked patrol car parked on Tompkins Ave. near Myrtle Ave., cops and witnesses said.

This appears to be a NYC Nightmare for Police and the Police Commissioner.
The SECOND ATTEMPT TO MURDER POLICE IS THWARTED and the 'wanna be cop killer' is arrested, but what about the THIRD OR FOURTH ATTEMPT??
HOW DOES THE NYPD KEEP THEIR OFFICERS SAFE, NOW THAT AL SHARPTON AND THE PROTESTORS HAVE DECIDED TO CARRY OUT THEIR CHANTS FROM A FEW DAYS AGO..."What do we want?" "DEAD COPS"! When do we want them? 'NOW!"
THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME ARRESTS OF PROTESTOR AGITATORS, AND OFFICIALS, WHO HAVE CREATED THIS HOSTILE ATMOSPHERE FOR COPS IN NYC!
this could be our city, our town, and our neighborhood! We need to have our voices heard on this 'GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS ATTITUDE' that promotes this violence!
CALLING our Congressman and asking for them to do their elected job and address this evil now, before this killing spreads to other cities and states.
LET'S STOP IT BEFORE IT SPREADS.
CONTACTING MAYOR de Blasio's office and demanding his resignation now, because he helped create this mess. Mayor de Blasio will never be able to supervise the NYPD since he has lost their respect.
Yesterday Police Officers turned their backs on him, which shows his power to supervise is gone....de Blasio needs to be gone too! He is NOT effective in NYC.
PLEASE Pray for our police, state troopers, and others in the line of fire every day, while on the streets and highways.

what a surprise
another mentally ill person asking what that even means
this guy was a long time loser with multiple arrests and quite likely mental health issues
earlier in the day he shot his former girlfriend. Do you think he did that to protest the Eric Garner thing or did he do that because he's a nutbag with access to a gun.
crazy people with guns shooting innocent people happens every day in this country
as you and your fellow Repubs and gun nuts love to remind us, there is nothing we can do about it
this is just like any other day in the USA except it just happened to be cops that got killed

NEW YORK (AP) — A gunman who announced online that he was planning to shoot two "pigs" in retaliation for the police chokehold death of Eric Garner ambushed two officers in a patrol car and shot them to death in broad daylight Saturday before running to a subway station and killing himself, authorities said.
The suspect, 28-year-old Ismaaiyl Brinsley, wrote on an Instagram account: "I'm putting wings on pigs today. They take 1 of ours, let's take 2 of theirs," officials said. He used the hashtags Shootthepolice RIPErivGardner (sic) RIPMikeBrown.
Police said he approached the passenger window of a marked police car and opened fire, striking Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu in the head. The New York Police Department officers were on special patrol doing crime reduction work in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.
"They were, quite simply, assassinated — targeted for their uniform," said Police Commissioner Bill Bratton, who looked pale and shaken at a hospital news conference.

Brinsley took off running as officers pursued him down to a nearby subway station, where he shot himself in the head. A silver handgun was recovered at the scene, Bratton said.
"This may be my final post," Brinsley wrote in the Instagram post that included an image of a silver handgun. The post had more than 200 likes.
Bratton confirmed that the suspect made very serious "anti-police" statements online but did not get into specifics of the posts. He said they were trying to figure out why Brinsley had chosen to kill the officers. Two city officials with direct knowledge of the case confirmed the posts to The Associated Press. The officials, a senior city official and a law enforcement official, were not authorized to speak publicly on the topic and spoke on condition of anonymity.
The shootings come at a tense time; Police in New York and nationwide are being criticized for their tactics, following the July death of Garner, who was stopped on suspicion of selling loose, untaxed cigarettes. Amateur video captured an officer wrapping his arm around Garner's neck and wrestling him to the ground. Garner was heard gasping, "I can't breathe" before he lost consciousness and later died.
Demonstrators around the country have staged die-ins and other protests since a grand jury decided Dec. 3 not to indict the officer in Garner's death, a decision that closely followed a Missouri grand jury's refusal to indict a white officer in the fatal shooting of Brown, an unarmed black 18-year-old. Bratton said they were investigating whether the suspect had attended any rallies or demonstrations.

Brinsley was black; the officers were Asian and Hispanic, police said.
The Rev. Al Sharpton said Garner's family had no connection to the suspect and denounced the violence.
"Any use of the names of Eric Garner and Michael Brown in connection with any violence or killing of police, is reprehensible and against the pursuit of justice in both cases," Sharpton said.
Brown's family also released a statement condemning the shooting. "We must work together to bring peace to our communities," the statement says. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the officers' families during this incredibly difficult time."
Mayor Bill de Blasio said the killing of the officers in the nation's largest department strikes at the heart of the city.

"Our city is in mourning. Our hearts are heavy," said de Blasio, who spoke softly with moist eyes. "It is an attack on all of us."
Scores of officers in uniform lined up three rows deep lined the hospital driveway and stretched into the street, their hands raised in a silent salute, as two ambulances bore the slain officers' bodies away. The mayor ordered flags at half-staff.
In a statement Saturday night, Attorney General Eric Holder condemned the shooting deaths as senseless and "an unspeakable act of barbarism." President Barack Obama was also briefed on the shooting, and White House officials were monitoring the situation closely, the White House said.
Early Saturday, Bratton said, Brinsley went to the home of a former girlfriend in the Baltimore area and shot and wounded her. Police there said they noticed Brinsley posting to the woman's Instagram account about a threat to New York officers. Baltimore-area officials sent a warning to New York City police, who received it around the time of the shooting, Bratton said.
Criminal records show Brinsley has a history of arrests on various charges in Georgia, including robbery, shoplifting, carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. Bratton said his last-known address was Georgia, but he had some ties in Brooklyn.

A block from the shooting site, a line of about eight police officers stood with a German shepherd blocking the taped-off street. Officer Ramos was married with a 13-year-old son, police said. He had been on the job since 2012. Liu had been on the job for seven years and got married two months ago, Bratton said.
"Both officers paid the ultimate sacrifice today while protecting the communities they serve," he said.
Rosie Orengo, a friend of Ramos, said he was heavily involved in their church and encouraged others in their marriages.
"He was an amazing man. He was the best father and husband and friend," she said. "Our peace is knowing that he's OK, and we'll see him in heaven."
The president of the police officers union, Patrick Lynch, and de Blasio have been locked in a public battle over treatment of officers following the grand jury's decision. Just days ago, Lynch suggested police officers sign a petition that demanded the mayor not attend their funerals should they die on the job. On Saturday, some officers turned their backs on de Blasio as he walked into the hospital. At a news conference, Lynch said there is "blood on many hands" tonight, explicitly blaming the mayor and protesters.

Will Dems who blamed Palin for Giffords attack refuse a ‘conversation’ about NYC shootings?
Hot Air ^ | December 21, 2014 | Noah Rothman
Posted on December 21, 2014 6:01:50 PM EST by 2ndDivisionVet
Jazz already wrote the definitive take on the grisly execution-style shooting of two New York City police officers and the role that irresponsible commentary from elected leaders – particularly Mayor Bill de Blasio – might have played in that attack.
Jazz is right to question the part that the mayor’s self-indulgent and unhelpful rhetoric might have played in this incident. Hours after a Staten Island grand jury’s decision to issue no-bill for the death of Eric Garner, de Blasio went on an ill-advised tear in which he impeached the NYPD based solely on his prejudices.
“That should never have to be said,” the mayor said of the protesters’ rallying cry, “black lives matter,” Though he conceded that it raises a question which “our history, sadly, requires.”
The mayor went on to indict the police force over which he presides when he confessed that his family had taken steps to ensure that his mixed-race son does antagonize the trigger-happy city cop. “We’ve had to literally train him, as families have all over this city for decades, in how to take special care in any encounter he has with the police officers,” he said.
De Blasio added that his fear for his son’s life is a concern shared by millions of city residents. “Is my child safe?” he asked, channeling these millions. “And not just from some of the painful realities — crime and violence in some of our neighborhoods — but are they safe from the very people they want to have faith in as their protectors?”
It was a speech more expected of a public advocate, the office de Blasio held just prior to moving into Gracie Mansion, rather than the mayor of America’s largest city on the eve of crisis.
While it is appropriate to question what role rhetoric played in this shooting, it is probably not a course in which conservative should become overly invested. In the wake of the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), the left and the press engaged in frenzied speculation about how the tea party had likely inspired the attack.
They were wrong and reckless, and hindsight demonstrates how clearly those accusations were founded only in the left’s political distaste for the tea party. Similarly, conservatives’ dislike for liberal elected officials may end up coloring the dissection of their unhelpful rhetoric.
It is, however, perfectly appropriate for the right to demand an accounting from the left for their one-sided attacks on the culture of law enforcement in the wake of the shooting death of Ferguson teen Michael Brown. What began as a constructive conversation about foresightedness of local police forces deploying soft-skinned armored personnel carriers to disperse peaceful demonstrators has careened into self-reinforcing and insular discourse in the media about reining in the American cop. As is always the case, the “conversation” died, and the absolutists have taken over.
Some on the left appear concerned that their preferred “conversation,” one that more resembles the lecture about racial disparities in the criminal justice system which has been ongoing virtually unbroken since 1994, could evolve into something they can no longer so easily control.
“The deaths of those two officers should be mourned. Justice should be brought,” political commentator and Morehouse College African-American studies professor Marc Lamont Hill wrote. “But let’s not get confused or distracted from the big picture.”
“Yes, ‘all lives matter,’” he added, “But BLACK LIVES are the ones called into question on legal, cultural, psychological, [and] epistemological levels.”
What is the basis for insisting that there is no “big picture” to be examined in the execution of two NYPD officers? The danger that the police face are always present, and the shooting of officers in the line of duty is tragically not uncommon. A police officer was shot and killed while investigating a suspect in Tampa just hours ago. What happened to these two NYPD officers is entirely different, and if it temporarily derails our precious “national conversation,” in which liberals display and demand fealty to shibboleths, it is the very least that America owes these public servants and their loved ones.
Moreover, the conversation that conservatives are demanding might actually be a productive one. The New York City police union gave up on their mayor long ago, not merely because of the adversarial rhetorical signals he has been sending but because of his actions in office.
“For six years, Rachel Noerdlinger, who serves as chief of staff to first lady Chirlane McCray, has been living with boyfriend Hassaun McFarlane,” The New York Post reported in September. “While McCray, accompanied by Noerdlinger, enjoys attending high-level NYPD CompStat meetings, her top aide’s boyfriend has plenty of serious crime stats of his own — a rap sheet that includes homicide, conspiring to run a cocaine operation, and nearly running a cop off the road in Edgewater, NJ, last year in an incident that was later pleaded down to disorderly conduct.”
Rather than condemn McFarlane and his social media posts calling police “pigs,” the de Blasio administration went on the defensive and insisted that they would never even consider letting Noerdlinger go from her post.
The police in America’s quintessential metropolis have lost all faith in their commander, and that’s dangerous. God forbid we have a “conversation” about that disturbingly suboptimal condition. It might distract from the endless array of familiar grievances Americans are treated to ad nauseam about police conduct.
Just as there was in the wake of the frustrating grand jury decision in the Garner case, there is an opportunity in this horrible period to engage in a clarifying dialogue. Let’s hope the least helpful voices among us take the next few days off while responsible actors engage in it.

only a typical lib would blame idiots on their TV for their actions.

You can be against police corruption and killing of cops at the same time moron
I've yet to see Fox or CNN post a pic of the girlfriend shot. Apparently only the cops matter. The story is long about the cops, what great people they were, etc... and a tiny blurb about the girlfriend.
Oh brother. ::)
This guy was murderous trash...saved the taxpayers a lot of money off'ng himself.

here is more shit the far left said, you know, sharpton and Obama and soul crusher
I could care less what % it is. its the truth. Most cops are utterly useless in anything but a taxpayer funded gestapo role to terrorize citizens for utter bs
Im NYC that is my experience
Most white cops i know and grew up with in NYC are losers and pieces of shit who got there through connections and abuse citzens every chance they can
so skip you think this is normal criticism
-
Look at his history - a life long criminal and waste of life
I'm in 100% agreement dude. This guy was a piece of shit.
And murdering cops is completely unacceptable. They have to be dealt with politically and legitimately.
But there's nothing wrong with criticizing cops and advocating drastic change.
-
so skip you think this is normal criticism
Where did I say anything about it being ok to commit violence on anyone? Huh?
I'll wait on it
-
so skip you think this is normal criticism
Don't know if I'd say 'normal', but certainly not something that even comes close to advocating or contributing to the murder of cops.

not his post by itself but that type of mentality plays into the way these nuts think

No, I don't think that broad, general statements such as 'all cops suck' play into that mentality.
Sincere conviction that murder is an appropriate solution plays into these nutbags mentality. So the people out chanting that they wanted dead cops may have a played a role, or leaders advocating for murder of cops (political or religious).
But, just a general expression of opinion (facetious or otherwise) - is just that.

Last time I checked, the cops worked FOR the executive. They shouldn't be doing this as part of their official duties.
Would this have been acceptable for the SS to do this to Obama? How about the military if they don't like the President's policies?
Absolutely not.
Everybody has to deal with it when their boss says or does something they don't like.
Cops wanna behave like immature school children over it.

They feel the mayor publicly turned his back on them with his comments. If they work for him as someone mentioned, he has a responsibility to his employees not to degrade or otherwise speak in a manner that could fan the flames of hatred in an already volatile atmosphere. This is their symbolic gesture of showing their displeasure in his support of them. I wouldn't do it myself, but I understand it.

The Democratic Party Killed Two Cops in New York

shooting-e1419134824858A lynch mob is all fun and games until someone actually gets lynched.
At first everyone has a good time marching around and shouting “Black Lives Matter” and “I Can’t Breathe.” The police are accused of being racist killers by the defenders of actual racist killers like Mumia Abu Jamal. Every community organizer within a thousand miles shows up to brandish signs claiming cops are randomly killing innocent black men even as he spits and throws bottles at any cop within reach. Not to mention engaging in the occasional act of convenience store redistribution.
The Mayor of New York City announces that his ridiculously famous son has to be afraid of the police. Obama agrees that his imaginary son also has to be afraid of the police. Their claims are equally plausible.
The lynch mobs make it their mission to invade holiday events, protest parades and scream racist rants. Then they begin attacking police officers. The media insists that protests whose participants chant, “What do we want? Dead cops!” are peaceful.
This homicidally insane definition of “peaceful” had only previously been applied to Islam.
And then, shockingly, surprisingly, out of the blue, protests led by Al Sharpton featuring violent attacks on cops finally achieve their goal with the murder of two police officers.
Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley announced on Instagram, “I’m Putting Wings On Pigs Today. They Take 1 Of Ours…Let’s Take 2 of Theirs.” #ShootThePolice #RIPErivGarner #RIPMike Brown.
It may have been the first murder that came with its own progressive social media hashtags.
But even the most violently peaceful lynch mobs eventually end with a lynching. There is no such thing as a peaceful lynch mob. There is no such thing as peacefully supporting a lynch mob.
Al Sharpton is not just an MSNBC talk show host. He isn’t a goofy fellow who mispronounces things on the teleprompter. He isn’t these things just as he wasn’t a funny fat man in a track suit wearing a gold medallion the size of the Bronx around his neck.
Those are the things that make him seem like a joke. And he isn’t a joke. He leads lynch mobs.
Sharpton led a lynch mob through Crown Heights and racist violence tore the neighborhood apart and took lives. He led a lynch mob to a store in Harlem and the store burned with employees inside.
That is what lynch mobs do.
Since then Sharpton slimmed down and swapped out colorful track suits for expensive custom made Soho pinstripe suits. He became a regular visitor to the White House and City Hall. He spoke at the Democratic National Convention and got a slot on that party’s favorite news network.
And then twenty years later he brought back the lynch mobs. And once again people died.
Two cops are dead in New York City because Barack Obama, Bill de Blasio and the Democratic Party embraced Sharpton and everything he stood for. They embraced his racist ideology of hate.
They made their party into the party of crime.
Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu weren’t white. Their only crime was being cops in a city whose radical left-wing mayor and media had signed off on an anti-cop campaign. Their deaths are a bloody reminder that black racism isn’t limited to white people.
The elites celebrating the return of left-wing rule to New York City after decades of Republicans in Gracie Mansion had forgotten the most important lesson that New Yorkers of all races had learned during the years of Sharpton’s terror; black racist lynch mobs kill as surely as white ones do.
Now Bill de Blasio is wiping away crocodile tears at a press conference while Al Sharpton and the gang of gutter activists that trails these protests is pretending to be shocked and surprised that their lynch mobs actually killed two cops. The same media that had been ridiculing the NYPD for its “hysterical” warnings that the racist lynch mobs would cost lives is also putting on its best shocked face for the cameras.
Sharpton is doing what he always does best: Playing provocateur and then trying to wash his hands of the consequences. Al never kills anyone. He just riles up the mob and someone in the mob does the dirty work. Al works the mob and through him the mob has a direct line to the White House.
When FDR put Hugo Black in the Supreme Court, he put the Klan on the Court. The Democratic Party’s hate groups and lynch mobs may have changed color, but everything else stayed the same.
When Obama made Sharpton his messenger to the black community, when Bill de Blasio let Sharpton and his people control city government and when Attorney General Eric Schneiderman promised that Sharpton would have an “annex” in the state capitol, the Democratic Party embraced the man whose racist rhetoric took more lives than the 1963 Birmingham church bombing.
The Democratic Party and its top politicians didn’t just endorse Sharpton. They endorsed his tactics and his hate. Now the blood of two murdered police officers is on their hands.
“The mayor’s hands are literally dripping with our blood because of his words, actions and policies,” the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association has said. “The blood of 2 executed police officers is on the hands of Mayor de Blasio,” is the message from the Sergeants Benevolent Association.
But Bill de Blasio did not act alone. He did what the rest of his party had gotten used to doing. The Democratic Party reverted to its roots of a party of crime. It forgot the lesson of the Willie Horton ad. It tested the waters by promoting “sentencing reform” for drug dealers and then it went all in by race-baiting the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases. It was so enthused about recruiting community organizers and increasing black turnout that it forgot that lynch mobs don’t vote. They kill.
Suddenly the tactics that Sharpton had pioneered in his track suit days became the face of the Democratic Party. New Tawana Brawleys were crawling out from under every rock in the nation. Innocents senselessly attacked by vile cops whose stories turned out to be about as real as Sharpton’s tax records. Everyone was having fun telling lies and screaming hate and then cops began to die.
Now the Democratic Party’s top crooks are clumsily trying to wash away the cop blood on their hands.
Attorney General Eric Holder can’t headline Sharpton’s events and then pretend to be upset when two cops are killed. Neither can Bill de Blasio or Barack Obama. Their phony condemnations don’t come with a promise to abandon the pro-crime politics and policies that led to the murder of two police officers.
Targeting the police makes it difficult for the police to defend themselves or anyone else. When the police can’t defend themselves, then they pull back. When they pull back, crime takes off. Cities become terrifying places. The middle class flees. Thriving cities go bankrupt and become permanent welfare cases. They become Democratic Party plantations. That’s what Obama and De Blasio wanted.
There is one fundamental question that must be asked of Obama, of Holder, of de Blasio and the media; are we a nation of laws or a nation of lynch mobs?
Obama claimed that the racist protests were needed because a “country’s conscience has to be triggered by some inconvenience.” Attorney General Eric Holder said that the protests provided “momentum to a necessary conversation.”
Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley concluded Holder’s conversation by reminding us of what the stakes are.
We cannot function as a nation when a political party representing half the country decides that it wants to stand with criminals against police officers, with racists and race-baiters against working families and with lynch mobs against anyone who gets in their way.
It’s not only the blood of these two police officers that is on their hands, but the blood of every victim of crime who could have been saved if the Democratic Party had not embraced gun control, sentencing reform and criminal rights.
After Dukakis got thumped and Dinkins got dumped, the Democratic Party pretended to reform. It pretended to understand that Americans wanted it to stand with cops, not criminals.
Now it’s back to its criminal ways.
Lynch mobs have consequences. So do crack dealers, serial rapists and armed robbers. Standing up to crime also means standing up to politicians who support crime.

No its not acceptable given that black thugs and criminals are the worst offenders in this city, as most cities, commit the most crime, etc. If anything - the cops and other NY'ers should fear Dante DeBlasio - not the other way around.
-
I've never had a problem with the police,I've found the ones that usually have problems with the police are thugs criminals and low lifes
-
i agree with this
Bullshit - these cops are dead, Ferguson business smoldering, people stuck in traffic due to Obama voters run amok in the streets, etc due do ghetto thugs like Obama holder shaprton deblasio et al fanning the flames of hate and bs based on lies about ghetto thugs who made poor choices in life like Ashtray, Brown Gardner, etc

I spent some time with Ben Garner, Eric’s father, who is in unspeakable pain,” he said, speaking at Mt. Sinai United Christian Church on Staten Island. “I couldn’t help but immediately think what it would mean to me to lose Dante. Life could never be the same thereafter and I could feel how it will never be whole again.”
The mayor said he and his wife Chirlane, who is black, have had to have the same somber talk with Dante warning him about run-ins with cops that many parents of young black men must have with their sons.
“Chirlane and I have had to talk to Dante for years about the dangers that he may face – good young man, law abiding young man, never would think to do anything wrong, and yet because of the history that still hangs over us, the dangers he may face. We’ve had to literally train him, as families have all over this city for decades, in how to take special care in any encounter he has with the police officers who are there to protect him,” he said.
“I’ve had to worry over the years. Chirlane’s had to worry. Is Dante safe each night? There are so many families in this city who feel that each and every night. Is my child safe?...Are they safe from the very people they want to have faith in as their protectors?”
Fu*k him.. He threw his cops under the bus for the sake of pandering.. I doubt he had that conversation and I doubt he has spent a second worrying that the police are going to hurt his son
-
Former New York Governor George Pataki also came out against de Blasio and Holder, saying; 'Sickened by these barbaric acts, which sadly are a predictable outcome of divisive anti-cop rhetoric of #ericholder & #mayordeblasio. #NYPD'

Dante has far more to fear from fellow thugs and criminals, the cops have a lot more to fear from Dante, than Dante has from the cops.
Sick of these liberal pos w this nonsense
-
Bullshit - these cops are dead, Ferguson business smoldering, people stuck in traffic due to Obama voters run amok in the streets, etc due do ghetto thugs like Obama holder shaprton deblasio et al fanning the flames of hate and bs based on lies about ghetto thugs who made poor choices in life like Ashtray, Brown Gardner, etc
ok...real quick bro...I’m not sure if you're certifiably mental (this is an honest concern of mine) or of this is some kind of act. But this is the thing, there are people I disagree with on fundamental social and political issues that offer constructive debate to an issue which is less about extreme emotion (which you display on a daily basis) and more about law and morals and ethics which when blended can give a sort of "north star" to justice or whatever were discussing. You my little friend bring absolutely zero to any conversation. It is almost as if you are the getbig version of Morton Downey JR. Shock value only with no real substance. I’m not stopping you from replying to my posts, but there won’t be a whole lot of conversation between you and I because you have shown an inability to reply in an adult manner.

What is there to discuss - forever now the rest of us have had to endure utter lies and bs by racists and thugs like Obama Sharpton holder deblasio about non issues and bogus cases like Ashtray, Brown , Zimm, Gardner, violent protests, you name it - and now its all brought to a head w the death of two cops.
Holder called us a nation of cowards
Sharpton is a snitch and racist criminal himself
Obama is a joke and adds fuelt ot he flames
DeBlasio is a racial arsonist himself w his communist bs.
What exactly do you want to discuss?

You know, if I applied that criteria to people in here.. there would be about 5 people I would be able to respond to.. but it's not a bad idea. It is frustrating when someone is so emotional they can't navigate a discussion without getting all butt hurt. Not speaking directly about Soul3333 but in general. There are many opportunities for discussions about topics that matter, or are at least interesting, with the potential for exhanges of ideas and opinions and the possibility of taking something new away from the discussion.. but it rapidly devolves into emotional often hatefilled attacks..
-
Like I said, I wouldn't do it myself, but I understand why they did it and don't have heartburn about it. The police occupation is hard enough without an elected official, or any govt official for that matter, adding fuel to the flames
Big Woop. Do what everyone else does and go to the fucking bar and cry about the boss.
When the badge and uniform go on, behave like a professional, mature, adult.

i agree with this
Indeed.

I get you bro. Does get a bit confusing that mature adults have opinions on a subject, trotting out opinion as fact, thus everything that follows is a result, that non-confirmed opinion/fact.

When Dell bosses do it, it doesn't increase the odds of bodily harm coming to the dell employees. Otherwise I would agree with you. When people see or hear people like a mayor paint cops as thugs and dangerous, it can lead to the increase in hostile attitudes and people thinking they don't have to listen to the police because the mayor "validates" their feelings and it could lead to dangerous results for both parties.

I get you bro. Does get a bit confusing that mature adults have opinions on a subject, trotting out opinion as fact, thus everything that follows is a result, that non-confirmed opinion/fact.
Again - Obama called police acting foolishly, "if I had a son", endless nonsense on the brown case, gardner, etc.
Holder? Really - the same pos who released the FLAN terrorists and called us a nation of cowards
DeBlasio - a communist and Marxist who went to cuba to side w the Sandinistas and wifes maid lives w a cop killer and his bs
Sharpton? Really? Want to go there?
Rangle? Um I could do pages on that ghetto creep
So tell me - what do you want to discuss? Brown case was bogus, Trayvon case was bogus, Garnder case was bogus only so far as NYC has draconian taxes and laws and he should have been given a summons, etc. Yet to hear people like Obama deblasio holder et al speak blacks are dying daily by cops. And even yet further - these same idiots "the community" follows never says a peep about the hundreds of murders each week by blacks on blacks that terrorize most cities.
So lets have a convo and stop the bs ok?
-
because most jobs the stupid shit said doesn't put your live in danger, one thing I notice is your always crying about the police
Oh please, vets deal with it every freaking day.
Every time some policy, statement, or whatever comes down that some fanatic doesn't like they're in danger.
At no time has Deblasio, Obama, Holder or anybody else even suggested that murdering a cop was acceptable.
They've said racism is an issue in policing and this nation. BFD.
It wouldn't be acceptable behavior for anyone else doing it, it's not acceptable behavior from these cops.
-

I think you would have an argument if what you were saying were true. As it stands, none of them have advocated or even come close to advocating violence against cops.
Believing that racism exists in policing or society does not equate to making murder an acceptable solution.
I think you would agree that I'm as tough on you as can be. I would NEVER want to see you harmed. Change should come politically and legitimately through laws and courts. Despite any argument we have on this board, physically hurting you to see change is unacceptable.
-
Here is my problem w that - the cases they use as examples don't in any way support the argument they are trying to make.

Jonathan Ferrell North Carolina
Im sure hes a two bit thug according to 333
and we still arent allowed to criticize police
(CNN) — Police in North Carolina shot and killed a man running toward them Saturday morning — but he may have just been looking for help after a car wreck.
Officers responded to a “breaking and entering” 911 call at a home in Charlotte.
The homeowner told dispatchers that a man had been knocking on her door repeatedly.
Police say that when they got to the scene, a man matching the caller’s description ran toward them.
One of the officers fired his stun gun, but it was “unsuccessful.” Another officer then opened fire, police said.
Jonathan Ferrell died at the scene. He was shot several times.
He was unarmed.
Police now believe Ferrell was seeking assistance after crashing his car.
The crash
Ferrell was 24 and a former football player at Florida A&M University.
Police found a wrecked car nearby, indicating that he may have been trying to get help.
“It was a pretty serious accident,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Rodney Monroe told CNN affiliate WSOC.
The crash was so severe that authorities now believe Ferrell had to climb out of the back window, affiliate WBTV reported.
He ran to the closest house for help.
The woman inside thought it was her husband.
“To her surprise, it was an individual that she did not know or recognize,” Monroe told WBTV. “She immediately closed the door, hit her panic alarm, called 911.”
The man stood outside and “continued to attempt to gain the attention of the homeowner,” a police statement said.
The shooting
Police have charged Officer Randall Kerrick with voluntary manslaughter — a felony. He turned himself in Saturday afternoon and was released Sunday on $50,000 bond.
Police used “charged” and “ran” and “advanced” in their description of what Ferrell did.
There were three officers at the scene, but Kerrick was the only one to use a gun.
He fired several times, police said.
“The evidence revealed that Mr. Ferrell did advance on Officer Kerrick and the investigation showed that the subsequent shooting of Mr. Ferrell was excessive,” police said in another statement issued late Saturday night. “Our investigation has shown that Officer Kerrick did not have a lawful right to discharge his weapon during this encounter. ”
All three officers have been placed on paid leave.
A charge of voluntary manslaughter means the person used excessive force in self-defense, or carried out the act without intent to kill.
Police called the incident “unfortunate.”
“It has devastated a family as well as caused a great deal of sadness and anxiety in our organization,” a statement said.
Kerrick’s first court appearance is scheduled for Monday at 1:30 p.m., the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office said.
“In every case, the District Attorney’s Office evaluates the evidence available and works to achieve a fair and just outcome,” the office said in a statement.
The reaction
Friends expressed grief on social media, calling Ferrell a “brother” and demanding “justice.”
He had at least one brother, Willie, who played with him at Florida A&M.
The university said it was “deeply saddened” at the loss. In a statement, Michael Smith, interim athletic director, said Ferrell played safety and was part of the 2010 championship team. “Our hearts and prayers go out to his family during their time of bereavement,” Smith said.
Ferrell was engaged.
“We loved him. Our family loved him,” his fiancee’s mother told WSOC.
He would have turned 25 next month.

Tragic. Those protesters who were chanting for dead cops definitely have blood on their hands.
I also think folks like Sharpton and de Blasio helped create a climate of hate and intolerance for law enforcement that helped motivate that guy to commit murder. De Blasio ran on an anti-cop platform, gave a speech blaming Garner's death on centuries of racism, and told people that he has to teach his son to be afraid of the cops. We should not be surprised if that kind of false and incendiary rhetoric makes it easier for people to not only disrespect law enforcement, but commit acts of violence against them.

There is blood on hands of those who demanded ‘dead cops’

In this Dec. 4, 2014, file photo, protesters carry signs criticizing the police, and replicas of coffins during a march over the Brooklyn Bridge to protest a grand jury's decision not to indict the police officer involved in the death of Eric Garner, in New York.
“What do we want?” drones the blood chant.
“Dead cops!” comes the reply.
Done.
Thus does rhetoric have consequences.
There may have been just a single shooter in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Saturday afternoon. But New York’s failure to denounce without nuance the bloodlust that’s been boiling out of the corners of the Eric Garner-Michael Brown demonstrations for weeks now boils down to this:
There is blood on many hands this morning.
Yes, First Amendment. Yes, redress of grievances. Yes, peaceful protests — even as clogged bridges and mobbed boulevards created, however temporarily, very real peril for tens of thousands of New Yorkers every night for a week.
The free-speech trope is so obviously true that it’s a deflection even to raise it.
Here’s the real issue: It was, and it remains, the responsibility of protest organizers — such as they may be in the face of ubiquitous social media — to directly address murderous incantations, to unequivocally condemn those who call down harm on the city’s protectors.
And they didn’t do that.
Moreover, when two of the six people who “allegedly” attacked two cops on the Brooklyn Bridge a week ago Saturday night turn out to be, respectively, a CUNY professor and an organizer for a union that placed five one-time senior union leaders in top de Blasio administration posts, it’s clear that New York isn’t dealing with bearded Bolsheviks living in caves.
Violence against cops has gone mainstream — that is, violent threats to society itself can manifest virtually without a soul among the city’s elected leaders saying so much as boo.
Pitiful.
The cops understand all this, of course. They get the threat. They are steeped in the department’s institutional memories of other cops, executed from ambush in similar circumstances. They know its tradition of reflexive heroism under deadly threat — and they are proud it its record: Not perfect, of course, but better than anyone else’s.
And now this.
Who would have thought that PBA President Pat Lynch’s don’t-come-to-my-funeral petition would have become so relevant, so prescient, so tragically right to the point.
So quickly.
There will be time to count the political consequences of Saturday’s cowardly murders.
They will be substantial.
The city’s cut-the-baby-in-half approach to the Garner-Brown protests — genuflect to the PBA, confer with the most rhetorically irresponsible of the protesting groups, rinse, repeat — lent an air of moral equivalence to the events leading up to Saturday’s savagery.
Nobody knows what was in the shooter’s mind, of course; happily, he relieved society of the responsibility of trying to find out with a well-placed bullet to his own head.
But anybody who thinks he wasn’t emboldened by City Hall’s placidity in the face of nihilistic, bloodthirsty incantations is delusional.
And anyone who believes that the city’s decision not to draw a high-profile line — even if only symbolically — after the “alleged” Brooklyn Bridge attacks was not empowering to the shooter is equally wrong.
Was the shooter crazy? Define crazy. The city is full of crazies. And none of them needs to be encouraged in their psychoses — certainly not by the suggestion that official New York thinks they somehow may have a point.
It’s wrong to blame the protests wholly for the actions of one person — up to a point.
That is, right up to the point when the protesters began to demand dead cops — and nobody put a stop to it.
Right up to the point where protesters began to drop full garbage cans 10 feet down on unsuspecting cops, and nobody took it for what it was: An escalation that culminated in yesterday’s Bed-Stuy executions.
And now for the funerals — for the heartbreaking skirl of the pipes and the agony of the families; for the grim-faced officers from across America, lined to the horizon in silent tribute to ambushed brothers; for the folded flags and the endless motorcades to the cemetery.
You wanted dead cops, protesters? You got ’em.
Now live with it. If you can.

Really? Here's what I just said to you this morning:
Sincere conviction that murder is an appropriate solution plays into these nutbags mentality. So the people out chanting that they wanted dead cops may have a played a role, or leaders advocating for murder of cops (political or religious).
Regularly owning your dumb ass might actually be satisfying.....if you weren't so fucking stupid.

I remember people trying to blame Palin putting up a map with bulls eyes for the Gifford shooting. Didn't some on this board make that connection too?

Did anybody come across anything about the gun he used? I haven't found anything online, but I heard somebody on the news yesterday when I was halfway listening and not really watching say that the gun he used was supposedly reported stolen 20 years ago and had been under the radar ever since. Most criminals are at least smart enough to steal guns or buy stolen guns on the black market that cannot be traced back to them if they get away with their crimes.

It's not a matter of smart.. most criminals don't buy things like normal people do. They steal them or buy stolen items for pennies on the dollar. It's really not a matter of intelligence.. criminals can be the dumbest animals on the planet sometimes.

I haven't found anything online, but I heard somebody on the news yesterday when I was halfway listening and not really watching say that the gun he used was supposedly reported stolen 20 years ago and had been under the radar ever since. Most criminals are at least smart enough to steal guns or buy stolen guns on the black market that cannot be traced back to them if they get away with their crimes.
if he had obtained it illegally we would know about it thats for damn sure

Mentally ill= New politically correct term for "black". Also, see "youth", "unidentified assailant" and "ooga booga".

But i thought the protests had nothing to do w what this animal did?
I don't think they did, though.
That's not to say that the next cop killer won't have been influenced by the protests (or DeBlasio) but not this guy, I don't think.
Wasn't there video on the killer's instagram that showed him having a run-in with the cops from a while back? Pretty sure this guy had been a cop hater for quite a while.

Why Fu*k him? Is what DeBlasio said really that much different from (early October) when NYPD commissioner Bill Bratton showed a video montage of police physically mistreating the public and then saying:
“My intention going forward is to ensure that we will aggressively seek to get those out of the department who should not be here — the brutal, the corrupt, the racist, the incompetent,” Bratton said in a tough talk to police brass."
“The reality is at this moment that there’s some in the organization who shouldn’t be here — not the right fit for the NYPD of 2014."

really?
I bet you dont feel the same way about criminal blacks and their effects on law abiding ones, do you?
Why wouldn't he feel that way?
Of course criminality by blacks has a negative effect on how many regard law-abiding blacks. How could it not?

agreed, but a lot of people dont feel that way.
I point to the protests going on in St. Louis for the man who was killed by the cop after he pulled a gun on him.

Two more men have been arrested for threatening New York police, including one who called the precinct headquarters of two officers killed as they sat in their patrol car and asked to speak to one of them, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
The arrests bring to six the number of those detained for threats against the New York Police Department since officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were shot on Saturday by a gunman seeking revenge for unarmed black men killed by police.
Tyrone Melville, 41, of Manhattan, was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly called the switchboard of Brooklyn's 84th Precinct, where the slain officers were based, said Sergeant Carlos Nieves, a police spokesman.
Requesting to speak to Ramos, Melville asked if the bullets had been removed from the dead officer's head so "he could kill more cops," Nieves said.
Melville was charged with making terroristic threats, a felony, and aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor.

It's not a matter of smart.. most criminals don't buy things like normal people do. They steal them or buy stolen items for pennies on the dollar. It's really not a matter of intelligence.. criminals can be the dumbest animals on the planet sometimes.
Some are completely stupid and have very short careers of course - they either get caught or killed very early on.
But if I was planning to commit crimes with a gun, I sure as hell wouldn't use one I'd bought legally in my own name. I'd buy one with cash on the black market or swipe one, then get rid of it right away. Most criminals are already unable to buy legally anyway - they usually have priors before committing such crimes that make it impossible for them to buy legally anyhow.
