Title: Analysis: Research in 2014 flipped the script on fat and sugar
Post by: loco on December 31, 2014, 06:42:06 AM
"The narrative that fats are bad has been deeply entrenched, but newer research has vindicated fats and emphasized the dangers of sugar. Studies this year indicated low-fat diets are not necessarily good for heart health and saturated fats might not be as dangerous as thought. Studies of sugar showed increased intake increases the likelihood of heart disease and sugar may be the bigger culprit than salt."

The anti-fat rhetoric was always dangerous. You need fat in your diet big time. There are essential fatty acids and essential amino acids, fats and proteins. There are no essential carbohydrates. Sugars and starches are poison. You need saturated fats to build muscle, produce hormones and have an immune system. Most of your brain is made of cholesterol. It's insane to cut fat out of your diet. Vegetable fats are are lousy for your health, but animals fats are excellent. Cut the carbs for health and strength.
