Check out from 09:15 on. The first rep already looks like a one rep max, and he's doing 6, a true warrior. And he's going even heavier for the next set. :D Amazing how long his body was tolerating that kind of training style.

#420/191 ish for reps, interesting that he used a bunch of yellow 15kg/33lbs disks. That form really is hilarious as mentioned, it's like every high school's 1 rep max day here in the U.S..
-
strange form on the bench. such wide grip and elbows flared. probably why his inner pecs tore and he got that steinberger chest.
-
Just lusting to that guy trying to breath is awful
-
He goes super wide with his grip on every bench video I've seen him in.

In the video he explains that the bench he's using was custom-made for him, cause at a normal bench he isn't able to lock out or re-rack the bar because of his super-wide grip. So he he had to get a custom made bench with that narrow rack, that he's able to do regular benchpress again.

If you want a big chest that's the form to use. Trouble is most guys ruin their shoulders. Arnold used a wide grip too. Sure you can't use as much weight but that's no what its about. HTH.

I understand the wide grip, it was the ass off bench, almost whole body thrust that was catching my eye.

Good bye shoulder health.
Really enjoyed Ruüuhl's videos - heavy weights and good entertainment.

His grip is normal attending his wide clavicles. Phill Heath could not do the same.

Ruhl goes balls to the wall at any single exercise. Check the lat pull-downs at 57:50, he goes so heavy that he doesn't even get the bar down to the level of his head, and still pulls out like 10 reps. At the cable rows afterwards at 1:00:20 you think he's going to die... ;D

That is just sad. He is huffing and puffing after 6 reps???
What a "sport"!

wow, a professional bodybuilder that actually trains hard.
now they all do half reps and say they are "maintaining constant tension." ::) ::)
check out at 3:00, pathetic

the wide grip worked good for him. He built one of the most massive chests in Bodybuilding. That this kind of hardcore workouts for so many years can lead to injuries (he also suffered a pec injury) is no secret. He had his time (been in the Mr. O & Arnolds Finals, winning the NOC....), and made some Money with his attitude beeing "the german beast".
Rühl was made of "Genetic" "medications" "+ "much of real hard training and dedication".
