Fitness expert and reality TV star Greg Plitt was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Burbank, California, on Saturday. He was 37.
Police confirmed to NBC Los Angeles that Plitt was struck at 4:05 p.m. on the tracks at Front Street, just north of the Burbank Metrolink Station. Sgt. Scott Meadows from the Burbank Police Department told PEOPLE that the death "appears to be an accident."

Greg Plitt, 37, died yesterday afternoon when he was hit by a Metrolink train after witnesses saw him near the tracks with a video camera in his hand. One friend says he was filming an advert for a protein shake at the time.

An additional service will be held in his hometown of Baltimore, MD the following week. Details will be shared as they are confirmed.
