Title: 2015 Olympia - Will Phil Heath be beaten or will Phil retire?
Post by: Wiggs on February 09, 2015, 02:51:53 PM
Do you think someone like a Justin Compton beats him (already a Hany guy)? Or will Phil ride it out to how many he wants and just retires.  I really don't see a legit contender outside of Kai and we've seen those results since Phil's reign. It'll be interesting to see what Compton can do because that's the only guy I see up and coming that can be a threat.

Only way Phil is not winning the Olympia is if he gets injured pre-contest. Then again all the guys these days are training lighter in the run-up to a show so the chances of it happening are fairly narrow.

I really think Compton is a promising up and comer. He's almost complete.  If he can at a little more thickness to his lower lats and come in even better conditioning he's battling it out with Phil for sure.

Retire after 5.   I called it immediately after the O.

Sure, he might milk it with "taking a little time off..." or "last-minute injury"...

But 2015 will be his last O, I predict.  Maybe he'll get in $ trouble in 5 years and have to come back for the hype, etc, but he seems like the type to be too smart and too fragile for that... couldn't take a "gifted" 6th like Cutler has been known to get.

Phil takes it if he wants it. He isn't worn out physically, and he has the incumbent factor. He can even be off a little, and he'll still get it.

Kai won't get it, I don't see Rhoden getting it just yet, Wolf won't get it, Big Ramy won't get it, it's too big a jump in one year, and his english isn't good. You need to be able to speak fluently to be Mr. Olympia, although they won't say it on record.

Personally I think everyone's jumping the gun and we're going to need to see how he fairs this year to really tell whether its time to stick a fork in it,  imo something went very wrong with his pre stage protocol for the 2014 show and you could see him deteriorate before your eyes during the show.

He may never capture 2011 again but theres always the possibility he could come in better than his last showing and I cant see them taking away his o status if that happens to be the case.

Time's are changing however and I look forward to seeing how compton does in the upcoming arnold, rami's progression or lack thereof in general and flex lewis competing in the olympia open.

I was sour on Coleman, Cutler and Heath.. but when Justin Compton is being spoken of as a contender you know we hit rock bottom as a "sport".  :(

There was a time when each one of those guys were amazing

But that time faded; and people remember their final years.... When they were declining fast

Phil would not find that to be very funny. I suggest you start composing an apology.

remember when phil almost beat the shit out of Kai at the Olympia?

I've never seen a man turn from puffed-up to scared so quickly.  Phil looked angry and scary and capable with his ponytail and previous fighting training... while Kai's bald head looked frightened, and cortisol levels spiked, making him puffy and visibly shaking.

It's been a while, but that's how I remember it.

Jesus guys. Phil has been 95% on point or better for 6 years straight now and he comes in off one time and you say he's done? Ronnie came in off several times as did jay and don't forget even Yates had a few years he wasn't 100%

Phil will come back in great shape he had a off show dosht mean he's done. Remember when Dennis wolf went from 5 to 18th? Now he's the top 4 in the world

What makes Phil win is his stupid round and full muscle bellies plus DETAILS you have to see it in person but it's so nuts to see all these little tiny ridges and knots and shit. That's where no one can touch him. No one

Haha, only took 24 hours for someone to notice that little Heath-ism.

You guys are getting slow.

If Ramy could ever come in the condition that Ruhl was in 2002 NOC we might have a new MR.O. Otherwise I say Phi'ls got 2 more O's in him.

Big Rami should be the next mr O. Phil will keep going well past his prime because in his head he thinks he's that good.

It also hit rock bottom as a sport when you started to consider yourself a prep coach

I think that he might need to hire somebody other than Dennis James.

Could you imagine if Dexter Jackson retired and he became Ramy's coach!

I think Kai Green have seen his red potatoes! His chest is almost not there, his biceps are not that full anymore. His body begin to blure...not same separation, belly big. Well. Kai isent a threath anymore!

Rami is great! New white dude is great! Cederic is the greatest, but he dosent seem intrested in this shit! He build woodhouse for his children.

Dexter is out. Bransch is out! Cutler is out! Wolf is out...or is he, overdieted last time! Maybe fuller this year! Italian white dude...to flat...centropani

Whos left...

I always liked Lionel Beyeke and Steve Kuclo. But they are not top 5 threats..... at least they haven't been in the past.
