Title: Why was the idea for weight classes in IFBB shows turned down?

My guess would be the fact that hardly ANYBODY competes under 200 anymore in the pro ranks.

Why not go by height classes?  Are the pros that against having a SOLE winner at a show?  I suppose it didnt' go over well for the women, so I guess so.

Even though the physiques lately fit 3 types (not meso endo or ecto).....mass monster, aesthetic, and short....Ronnie, Ray and Priest respectively....I guess you can't have 3 types of competition.
