Title: Today's the last day to sign up for the year.
Post by: Coach is Back! on February 15, 2015, 01:25:33 PM
For the "Obamacare" debacle. If you don't you get taxed....er, I mean fined...or is it a tax. Either way it's an unconsitutional MANDATE.

If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period.

Families should save $2500 a year on average.

It won't add a penny to the deficits.

It's not a tax.

It will make healthcare affordable for all.

Government-run healthcare won't affect the quality of healthcare one bit.

Did I leave anything out?

Ummm all the people that fall under a certain income level or kids get a subsidy that is payed by the high income people.  I don't see how that's fair. I'm covered by the va but if I didn't my estimated insurance for a standard policy is 325 a month and that was for a shitty basic plan. But the single mom that doesnt work and has 3 kids gets a better plan and didn't have to pay a penny?

The system only works if higher income younger adults pay into it so the poor can get covered. If they don't it dosent work. Hence the taxes and penalties on business and people for not signing up.

It's a faulted system. Ask any Medical professional and they will tell you

Ask any anyone not pulling their weight and they will tell you it's the best thing ever

It was made to reform the health care system and help regulate health care cost. The only thing it did was add to the liberal agenda of taxing the successful to pay for the lazy

1. Congress passed the affordable health care act, aka Obamacare and the pres signed it into law.
2. It was challenged on constitutional grounds and the Supreme Ct said it passed muster.
3. I agree, it's got flaws but it's settled law now. Live with it.

LOL!!!
Makes me think of a certain catch phrase I kinda like...

1. It passed without a republican vote during recess. He's a coward.

2. The majority of Americans didn't want it. He thought he knew better.

3. Personally I think Roberts was coerced into the "vote".

4. It was passed without it even being read. "You'll just have to find out what's in it after it passes" - Stretch Palosi

5. It was proven that Americans were mislead = unconsitutional

6. Working on repealing it now but I don't trust the majority of the repubs now.

Yeah, that's perhaps the most curious part of all of it.   I guess people could say "bribed" just as easily as "coerced"... same amount of evidence for both.  But yeah, America was SHOCKED... Roberts had the power to crush it all, turned out to be a liberal.

Yes let's just mention the bad things about a piece of legislation and forget about all the good things.  ::)

The only thing I like about it is the coverage for pre-existing conditions.

Don't you make like over 200k a year??  Should be no problem for you.

Should really get interesting once the effects of the employer mandate start to kick in. They've delayed it through 3 election cycles now.

I think they also wanted us to believe that "health insurance" equals "health care".

What difference does that make Vince? The whole purpose of being in business is improve my bottom line. Not put out almost triple the amount I was already paying. What the business makes and what I take in salary are completely different. Wait, you don't teach that at your $3000 business seminars? lol.

We should take care of some from cradle to grave. We make too much money and our ancestors were bad people hundreds of years ago - both of which make us bad people by default. We should share more of our money and try to make up for what happened centuries ago.

We did shop. All were similar. We actually chose one of the lower plans.

Makes a lot of difference.  You need to shop around if you ask me or your previous plan didn't cover you....I don't know.  Sounds on the very high side.
