I thought Wilt was the GOAT. Single-game career highs: 100 points and 55 boards.

LMFAO. By your reasoning Bill Russell with 11 rings is the GOAT. Stats don't lie. Wilt was leagues ahead of MJ in scoring, rebounding, passing, stealing and blocking. End of discussion.

Hahahaha against midgets.

How about that free throw shooting of Wilt's? Haha

Wilt wouldn't dominate against the centers of the 80's and 90's. He was lucky to play against midgets and like 10 teams hahaha

Good choice. MJ is king. Played against tougher opponents than Wilt also. How the hell does a team that plays "defense" let another guy score that much?  Answer: they don't.

When I was young I'd get so upset when older guys would talk about Wilt, Russell, Baylor and West and how they would dominate in the mid/late 90s. I'd always argue how how the modern guys were so much better athletes and better skilled; they'd say the talent pool was spread thinner and teams weren't as good/deep and on and on. ....

I'm always convinced Jordan is the best I've ever seen. His ability to impose his will alone was incredible.  That said during MJ's two year hiatus Hakeem was as dominant as a center as there ever was.  Of course then Iverson, Kobe, T-Mac, VC, Shaq, Dirk DWade, Lebron, KD, Duncan have all had runs as the best.

Throughout the years skills have developed and are better than ever but I think the better athletes line is over played (undoubtedly players are bigger/stronger but I think the speed and explosiveness is only marginally different between eras; today there's just more elite athletes than ever before, a guy like Wilt would still be an athletic anomaly today).

Long story short dominant athletes would still be relevant,  competitive,  and even dominant in any era.

Some say that was a fault. Like not saying that much when black kids would get killed over his shoes. It was a freaking epidemic in the 90s. A lot of articles were written about it. For instance in Sports Illustrated.

Magic and Bird have to be in the conversation too, I think they made their teams better overall than MJ
Magic was every bit the player MJ was, Bird would out work a horse

Those three plus olajuwon and shaq were the best , with Some distance followed by a group led by Russel, jabbar, wilt,

Jordan was by far the best Individual player , Nobody at his right mind would question that
