Iron Man Magazine was sold by John Bailik to the new owners a few months ago, but they are having a relaunch party for the magazine in March.
"Come join us for the exclusive relaunch of Iron Man Magazine with the most celebrated names in the fitness industry! Special event includes a look at the new summer collection from Bombshell Sportswear hosted by 10 of the most beautiful bombshells on a runway stage"

Be interesting to see if they make it. If they keep with same shit the BB mags have been doing in the past couple years, they'll never survive.

Won't last. Chances of making it are far more narrow than Heath.
Should have poured all of that cash they got from dealing juice internationally into a website.
-
Does not look at all like the old Iron Man...in fact it looks more like Mens Fitness ???
-
It became 'Gay Man Magazine' :-\
-
I hope they still have plenty of fit whores in their magazine. The less clothes the better.
-
:'(
-
Looks like Iron Man will serve as a Trojan horse for Bombshell Sportsware. Non stop clothing ads will be a refreshing change from supplements.
-
Haven't bought a magazine in years... literally. Bah!
-
Why the hell are they bothering? Total waste of time....

Men's Health has a circulation way over all the bodybuilding magazines combined. The ads are also interesting. High end watches, clothes, cars and colognes instead of endless snake oil supplements with pictures of steroid bodybuilders claiming supplements work.
If they want to make money then they have to get away from the subculture of a fringe sport of steroid bodybuilding and get into fitness, health and training for another sport. Notice how many magazines are complete clones of Men's Health? They see the crazy success of it and want to fool the buyers at check out. Normal guys buy sports, guns, mechanical, and other magazines. Very few guys are walking to the counter with a oiled up man in a speedo on the cover magazine. "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

^^
THOSE were the PLATINUM days of bodybuilding articles, that and the old Muscle Builders and 1980's MUSCLEMAGS!!!
I can literally remember reading them over and over, had a subscription in the military to MUSCLEMAG in 1990's as it was hella cheaper to subscribe!!!

Bad move. BBing mags were history a long time ago. A friend of mine works at Barnes and Noble (they have a huge magazine rack). I asked him which mags don't sell. He said that magazine sales in general are not doing well. BBing mags are at the top of the list of non-sellers. Even the neophytes do not buy them anymore. Tattoo, gun and various women's fashion mags are top sellers there.
-
No thanks
No one wants to read that fucking pile of shit
-
why dont they put out getbig magazine? fill it with porn, conspiracy theories, hate on muslims/blacks, photoshops and 1-2 pages about bodybuilding.

I agree with you. They need to get more of the Musclemania guys on there, and have them pose like its a lifestyle mag. Like this:
Now, imagine that pic with some headlines about the newest mountain bike, the newest audio tech, etc
Along with "super setting bis and tris" and a "how Ulisses Jr won X show."
-
:'(
It used to be a good magazine, esp their European edition.

SERGE NUBRET TYPE GENETICS..

ReLaunch Party - new style of the magazine. Jeez - lets see what they do before we all start complaining.
The fact is that magazine circulations have been declining drastically in all sectors, so if the new owners want to relaunch it, change some things and bring in new ideas rather than just having the magazine close down (like MuscleMag) is ok with me.
-
Ironman mag used to have an Arnold special issue around Arnolds birthday every year, was the only issue that did good in sells throughout the year.
Will be interesting to see what will they do to have good sells with "new style "
Woossshhhhhh

Ron, I value you for being a positive person, but I strongly believe that there's no future for magazines on print.
Face it, that 'ReLaunch Party' will only be visited by advertisers and some networking models, working in 'the industry'.

That's a very smart business conscientious change of direction.

Iron Man had went away from the bodybuilding feel a while ago with the old owners. No-name male fitness models on the cover. So this ownership group is not going to be a drastic change from what their readers were getting for quite some time.
