Can't believe he benched 400lbs in high school wearing a tee shirt and without all the tricks used in powerlifting today. Wish he talked a little bit more about training. All he talked about is when he tried HIT late in his career using the Yates one set to failure after a warm up.

I asked him about his training but, as you said, he didn't elaborate on it. In Part 2, he talks extensively about the 1980 Mr. Olympia, his thoughts on Arthur Jones, why he looked so thin at the 1982 Mr. Olympia and competing at his biggest in the 1994 Masters Mr. Olympia

Yeah, it's interesting how Boyer, Bill Grant, Mike Katz and Samir Bannout were all so inspired by the "Hercules" movie with Steve Reeves.
