Title: how much was Cage on in Con Air?
Post by: Army of One on March 23, 2015, 10:34:18 PM
Guy had some real bowling ball delts, since he admitted juicing for that movie when he benches the stripper, and looks better in Con Air, what do you think his stack was?

The most underrated actor alive.

He's a great and diverse actor. It's just unfortunate that he has taken too many bad roles.

Isn't he 185-190 cm?

It's impossible to weigh 80kg at that height unless yer skinny.

Cage is a horrible actor, out of all the movies he's made I can only name one he was actually good in and that'd be Lord of War, which would've been just as good with any other actor in the leading role. The guy plays practically the same character over and over, with a very poor shot at adopting accents for movies, looking at his recent effort "Outcast".

To be honest, I tend to avoid Cage movies, since by default they suck or will have to deal with sub-par or over-acting. I'm not that much into comedies.

Ps. If he was on gear, good thing he opted for becoming a shitty actor than a bodybuilder.

Dunno...? He definitely ain't 'huge' though..?

He did not have much fat in that movie, and more muscle than what he usually has.

Muscle weighs more than fat and at that height and in the shape he was in Con Air, 80 kg is an impossibility.

85.4-87.8 kg would be more probable, judging by his appearance and height.

And i'm even removing 1-2 kgs merely due to him being a great and diverse actor as well as the most underrated actor alive.

I agree with that, when he takes a role seriously there arnt many better. Unfortunately he is probably the biggest 'phone it in' actor of all time, most of the time he is in it for the money and can't be bothered.

I was like 16 when conair came out and thought he looked big. Seeing him now, hahaha, dude is small, not that lean. Gear to look like that? C'mon. I know they have lots of hours to be on set, but when you have MILLIONS of $$$ you have your food made for you and spoon feed you if you want.

Creatine and protein can have pretty much anyone bigger and more impressive than that.

Gear is simply used because these guys don't give 2 fucks about physique as they already have looks , money and status, its merely used to get results quickly under tight deadlines that earn you millions.

I understand that. But 3 months of creatine and protein, fat burner with like zma, vit c... can get a dude there.

Same. I think its because at that time, we were still used to the only big guys being Arnold, Sly, and Van Damme  (kinda). So to see Cage go from Raising Arizona to Con Air really stood out. In fact, I want to say he was maybe the first regular guy to get "built" for a role. Where now its the norm. What I remember laughing at was when they cast him as Superman in the late 90's, and his defenders using Con Air as an excuse.

2 hours of trenbolona ace can get them there in minutes.

CAge as superman? Disgusting. His voice is not fit to be super man at all. Superman with a fading hairline is not so super...

And no need for a Con Air cycle

Coppola would have been the greatest Superman ever, if he acted like he did in Wicker Man/Vampire's Kiss.

LOL!!!
Another basement lifter I see. Used to watch Hogan in the WWE and wanted to be HUGE like them. Seeing them now as they were, they were pretty fat, not much shape, but still huge but nothing I'd wanna look like.

Cage used one cycle to be hip for a movie... and that's when his hair started falling out.

Terrible actor but there was a point early in his career where he showed promise.  Peggy Sue got Married and Bring out the Dead were strong performances.

Cage is as good an actor as anyone else, really.

Acting isn't any great "talent".

Everyone and his brother acts.

Sure, but nobody can act like Coppola.

He has a god given talent and is the most underrated actor ever, with the ability to shapeshift on a whim for a role (where his muscles-tissue weigh more than both his and Sophias fat-tissue).

Nobody does it like him.

Just watch his incredible Oscar-worthy performances in "Wicker Man" and "Vampire's Kiss" and you will understand.

If you seriously think it requires gear to look like that - fuck man you need to find some other hobby... That doesn't even look like someone that trains hard????

My god - some of you guys need to go to boards where real bodybuilding is discussed and maybe  try a thread like this - lol.  That may show you how fucking stupid it is

Again he admitted to gear usage to look smaller than that in another movie, the question wasn't about his mammoth non naturally achievable size, was more about what the average Joe like him who has no interest in lifting took in a short period to gain 20 pounds of mass.I'm guessing reading comprehension was never a strong point at school.

When can we get the same technology for our day to day lives as the average man on the streets?
