Post by: Palumboism on March 30, 2015, 12:17:54 PM
My prediction is this car will sell new to an owner in Boca Raton and end up ten years later wearing Dubs in Miami.

Had the same car when I was a kid, same color too.  400 engine.  Lots of power, but it got around 10-12 miles/gallon.  This thing literally floated down the street.

Did the headlights retract when you sold it?  I always see those w/ curb feelers & one headlight stuck open.

A true baby blue Continental is your best bet, according to some.

Apparently, we weren't the only ones to notice the exterior styling similarities between Lincoln's new Continental Concept and the Bentley Flying Spur; so did Bentley's Chief Designer Luc Donckerwolke and he wasn't happy…

"I would have called it Flying Spur concept and kept the four round lights," Donckerwolke sardonically wrote on his Facebook page, according to Road&Track. "I thought this was only done in China? Finally a 'Bentley for the masses' though," responded another designer in the comments.

Donckerwolke didn’t stop there, as he reportedly posted a sarcastic question on Lincoln Design Director David Woodhouse's Facebook page, though it was promptly removed: "Do you want us to send the product tooling?"

Bentley's design boss was far from done, as he spoke to Car Design News: "This behavior is not respectable. Building a copy like this is giving a bad name to the car design world."

The British brand's exterior design chief, Sangyup Lee, agreed describing the Lincoln as "a joke," and adding, "It is very disappointing, especially for an exclusive brand like Lincoln."

Again, created for the Chinese market, so how fitting is it that it apes Bentley. The Chibese are known for their automotive knockoffs.
Sad that Lincoln did it, though.

i've always loved big cars like this.  total bitch to park, sometimes.  But wow, when you're cruising, it's like riding a boat.  Easy to fix too.

Ironic they are known for thier knock offs but the true high rollers there are something else, these guys don't play around when it comes to cars esp in the Hong Kong, Shanghai, areas in Beijing and  Taiwan region. Some very wealthy individuals with all kinds of cars imaginable

Local Chinese guy in SoCal owns pretty much all the "special" Ferraris except the 250 GTO

F40, f50, Enzo, 275, 288 GTO and Evo version, has a 458 speciale aperta coming a long with laferrari and just ordered a 488 gtb. Some ballers with good taste

Cars look like ass now... what a disgusting bulbous mess.
Are older vehicles the only option to ride with style? I used to drive Japanese boxes but at least they didn't try to come off as beautiful or sophisticated.

If you like the 70s MkIV they're cheap and usually in good condition. They're not "trending" right now so young people don't buy them an fuck them up. It's mostly old people who put 10,000 miles on them to church and back then died.
