I am not against people being gay, I don't believe you should be but at the same time I don't hate on people who are but with all this talk about gay marriage laws I have to say I am bothered by the fact they they are making laws that the church can't refuse a gay marriage because that is clearly a violation of religious rights. If the church does not believe in gay marriage how can you force them to do that? Same with the businesses that don't believe in that, is it ok for the government to force them to do business with people they don't want to do business with?

Right wing talking points. Gay hating churches will NEVER be required to marry gay people. This is just Sean Hannity fear mongering stuff.

The problem with churches and religions is that they make families /society/cultures to hate and reject their own gay children ..... Some homosexuals even come to regret themselves live in denial, get heterosexual married to then one day either commit suicide or come out of the closet or worse yet get outed ! And have wife kids live in a world of pain embarrassment.
That's too many people ruined simply because church does not beiieve in gay marriages and they tell you that gay people will forever be denied from paradise " heaven"
Think about it , if you were gay would you let the church promote the idea that you're a bad person and can't married whoever the F you want to marry ?
No homo.
Wooossshhhhhh. BE YE KE

I understand what your saying and I don't hate gay people but I just don't think we should be forced into thinking it's ok to be gay

But where does it end? You can hide any bigotry under the guise of religious freedom. What if some religious people decided not to serve black people because it was against their religion? Or not allow black people in their restaurant? Or what about people with physical handicaps? Or what about a Christian owner who won't serve Jews because they are not the same religion? Its a slippery slope.
As for me, I am personally fine with someone being gay. I have no problems with the LGBT community.
-
I don't care what Gay people do, it's none of my business. I'm all for gay marriage. Whatever they want to do is fine with me. I know a lot of gay people and most of them are really cool people. That said, I just don't know why they insist on involving people that don't like them in their lives. Go find a gay person to marry you. Go find a gay person to bake your wedding cake. You can have a wedding anywhere, why insist on having it at a church that doesn't agree with your lifestyle and doesn't want you there?
If someone out there hated ruggedly good looking muscle men I wouldn't want to be around them or force them to see my Hasselhoff-esque face and my flawless physique.

You shouldn't think is ok to discriminate against them either.

It ends with the right of the individual to choose who he wants to deal with in any part of his life as a free man, and not have the government forcing you to deal with people that you want nothing to do with.

Its called freedom of association. It's called the right to refuse service to anyone. Even me. I have been at places that have done that and I didn't whine and get all butt hurt about it.
Personally, I think this whole gay marriage thing was pushed by lawyers. Sad but in a marriage someone's gonna get intercoursed when its over and it ain't gonna be the good kind. Barristers suck the life from you out of your wallet.
So then. Marry your sister, your mother, your father, your brother, your pet (any pet). Marry an inanimate object like a Real Doll.
Most of the more sophomoric GetBiggers would probably just love to marry their right hand (for the tax breaks) and then for excitement (Herne and Hippo are you reading this you fat, filthy pigs?) cheat on their spouse with their left hand.
So then. Don't associate with those you disagree with. If someone alters their appearance to look like the devil or a snake, how dare you call them ugly. What a pussified world this is fast becoming. A bunch of butt hurt manlets.

It's not like the church is just making things up, it's in the bible. The bible doesn't say anything about being black

Don't give me that crap, if they said they were going to start punishing churches that refuse to marry gay people I know damn well some gay couple would purposely go to a church that they know is against it just so they could make a big deal over it when they get refused and then what the church is going to have to pay a fine? Pastor going to jail? church starts receiving threats?

I don't discriminate against them, but my church doesn't believe it's ok to be gay and I don't understand why they want to shove it down peoples throat. I don't like that in society today it's more socially acceptable to be openly raciest than to say you don't think people should be gay.

you need to study your history. all white supremacist feel their believes are rooted in the bible. The bible was used to supported anti-miscegenation laws.
I think you'll agree the bible is not too keen on second and third marriages. The Indiana law makes it perfectly legal to refuse service to someone who has been divorced. And we're not just talking about baking a cake or taking photos at someone's fourth wedding. It would be perfectly legal to not rent an apartment to two people living together outside of marriage, or to a single mom. How about a hotel room? Or a pharmacy declining to fill a script for birth control?
The federal law was about lawsuits between individuals, (Hobby Lobby made it corporations too) and the government. The Indiana law extends it to lawsuits between two people, or a person and a corporation.

Gay people are another fringe group that's currently running on five of their four cylinders.

Exactly what Hannity and other talking heads say...
Dog, no gay people i know would ever step foot in a gay hating church and want some miserable hateful man marry them. This is just more feat mongering to make it look like "libs" are forcing churches to do this lol.
Churches dont pay taxes which is beyond fucked up, so i could give a fuck if some religious noobs are angry

Yeah there is always one shit head who would do that, but dont act like its the norm. No gays are lining up at Ron Harringtons church bro. Dont let the media tell u otherwise. I know gay people, and this whole right wing spin on this is comical to them. None would ever want their wedding day ruined by an angry pastor just like any straight couple

Who is shoving anything down your throat?
You go to church? i dont run into many people anymore who go in my age group. Its usually the 80 and up crowd. Why do you go? Do you feel it makes you a better person?
Do you use AAS? How does your church feel about that? They likely dont believe that is OK either.

I've been a member of a few churches in my life and have visited several others and I've never encountered an anti-homosexual agenda in any of them. Certainly I've met some individual church members that have an anti-homosexual agenda of their own making, but that wasn't Christ's intention for believers.
Should we turn from sin? Yes. Is engaging in homosexuality a sin? Yes. Should we seek to help unbelievers align with Christ? Yes. Should we hold existing believers accountable for their actions? Yes.
There are members of the Roman Catholic clergy that are homosexual. There are ministers and pastors that are homosexuals. What separates them from others is that they love Christ more than they love themselves. Does that mean the temptation to engage in homosexual behavior is forever gone from them? Absolutely not, but they strive to deny what God has deemed immoral because they choose God first. People are called to love one another....to lay our lives down for our friends. To pray diligently for our enemies. To act as the salt and light for the world.
Churches picketing abortion clinics. Gay bashing rallies organized by churches. Historical justifications of murder by the church. Not a bit of it represents Christ. The obvious irony being that the sinful transgressions these church groups exhibit are equally as great (if not greater in some instances) than the transgressions of groups they seek to oppose. They've developed an idol of sorts grounded in their personal justifications. Would Christ support these efforts? Never.
Christ called those that desire to be apostles to first deny themselves and then follow him into righteousness. We can't enter into righteousness on our own...it's only through Christ that it is granted to us if we come unto him faithfully. Yet if we seek righteousness we must be willing to deny those aspects of ourselves that are contrary to Christ's commands for us. Those challenges are more difficult for some than others, but "the church" should be a place where those who love Christ can seek help to overcome the sin they struggle with. Condemnation is reserved for those believers that refuse to give up their sin not for those seeking to keep it at bay.
For many, they'll never turn to Christ because they love their lifestyles and their worldviews above all else because they believe nothing else and refuse to entertain anything else. Fortunately for them God has allowed them to live their lives however they please, but it's fleeting.
Does the act of attending a church service make someone a better person? No. For believers, attending church is an opportunity to fellowship with fellow believers, serve each other faithfully, find counsel, give counsel, grow our faith, learn the theology we espouse and worship the one we claim as Lord, God and Savior.

Lol according to the bible homosexuality is wrong. That's clear as day. Anyone who says otherwise is just pandering to the gays.
