The IFBB St Louis Pro under 212 bodybuilding championships is tonight. Prize money is $6000. Is that for the winner or divided among everyone? Who says you can't make a living as a pro bodybuilder?
-
Don't forget the plastic trophy and loss of internal organs

Thats pathetic. $6k?
-
Wow that's messed up. Even if the winner gets 6k and its not a cumulative purse this is sad as hell. IFBB needs to set a standard for different tier shows and how much they should be paying out to the winners.
-
hahaha, 6k lol.
-
Time to do away the 212. Most are better then the open anyway. Talk about taking a loss.

6k does not even cover prep. But we all know this is not done for the cash, but too bad they're not rewarded more.
-
Players on UK bench made more than that.
-
Star-studded lineup right there.
-
6k?!?! A PGA caddy does better in a tournament weekend. What a joke. The promoters will cash in though. It's the IFBB/NPC way. Ride on the backs of competitiors and give them some free exposure. They'll be happy ::)
-
Isn't that the clown who was peddling Aqualyze??
Now he is a contest promoter??
Living the dream ::)
-
bob has some of the worst forward head posture I've ever seen
-
Has anyone ever seen a breakdown of cash flow in/out of one of these small / medium shows? I wouldn't be so fast to blame the promoters for a lackluster prize till I saw that.

Wrong scam........ it was hydrolyze ultra.
-
Dixon is a little tank. 6 Grand what a joke. Bodybuilding is big business as long as you are not a competitor.
-

Yes!
Hydrolyze ultra
What happened to that?
I heard it was pulled from the shelves because it was too potent, too bad Coca Cola and Pepsi were in a billion dollar bidding war over it
Contest promoting the next best thing

When it comes to attracting a big rolling schmoe in the mid west then a placement here is priceless

How is the schmoe scene in St Louis

6K would buy Bob Chick a years worth of tune ups at Bosley hair systems

10%. Even the last place finisher is making a shit ton. One hell of a lot more than $6k.
-
The Shell Houston Open is going on right now and the winners share is $1,188,000. The winning caddy will make 10%. Not a bad weekend. He probably pulls over a million or close to it in a year in prize money alone.
-
Glad to see Chic looking healthy and recovered from his ilness.
-
Nutsack wearing midgie leprechauns battlin' it out for a six grand pot o' gold at the end of the rainblow. Where the schmoes are waiting...In the shadows under the Keebler Tree.
Sad. Pathetic. And totally warranted. This is reality. Very few normal folk attend bodybuilding pageants. Instead, the usual freaklings populate the seats out front or when overcome with lust, the stalls in the "men's" room.
The general population loathes bodybuilding because they know about the drug use (perhaps not how MUCH all these midgies take) and refuse to "accept" it as normal and good. Who in their right mind would want to watch Kai Green dance around an invisible (except in the minds of schmoes) pole while nattily attired in the mold of the Geek from Pulp Friction? Disgusting.
Or maybe you could get a selfie with Cedric's wang? Disgusting. Or DLB's sophomoric duck-face? Or some washed up, never was and never will be relevant in anything except the small, cretin and pervert filled world of obese schmoe's Ms Olezbia winners?
Imitation of life. Bodybuilding is tiny but not too small to assimilate the 212 into the big picture.
It's a small world after all...

Far more cash than on NABBA Lee Priest classic in Sydney , 2 weeks ago ;D

You people don't understand. Bodybuilders do not do this for the money. They do it for love of the sport, a deep passion and commitment to their chosen sport. Money means absolutely nothing to bodybuilders.

Nabba pro card ??? ::) :P

They had 3,000 in attendance at the St Louis show yesterday. I was there. At $25 a head, that's a $75,000 gate for just the prejudging part. The room barely fit everyone there.
If $6000 prize money is accurate it's a disgrace to all that competed.
-
I'm glad to see big Rod is still around. He's been competing forever.

The promoter looks like (and most likely is) totally sketch.
Jack Titone?

And then there is the entrance fees of the 400+ amateurs.

BC thick as a cock there. Has to be 265. Impressive. I'm not sure it's necessary but it's impressive.
-
Rod Ketchens, a name from back in the day. He has to be in his 40s or 50s
