I would guess health problem, depressions, etc etc...life is dynamic! Very few people can be consistante for some years, they they change direction. This sport is drug addiction without any money to earn...not very smart to enter that game!
Its very hard to be consistant when u are 30+ bcz u think to much! Hell of a lot more easy for teens and stupid adults! Some make money out of it, and they continue...

Eddie Robinson benched 610 in a tee shirt without the crazy U arch to shorten the range. Crazy strong bencher.
David Dearth if I got the story correct has had many surgeries due to injuries. He wrote about the financial hard time he was having and how his body was a mess of problems.

For sure. Saw him win the teenage Florida in 84 I think. Freakiest teenager ever to set foot on a bodybuilding stage.

Now Craig Richardson and Lionel Brown...as well as Ahmad Haider as someone had mentioned, those three had potential. Ahmad was known as "abzilla" and was featured prominently in Musclemag. Also was impressed by him at his first Mr. O, and got the Lion of Lebanon's (Samir Bannout) seal of approval as well.
Richardson had very good symmetry and aesthetics, would have done well in the 212s. And Lionel Brown may have been able to straddle that and the open. He was known for his funky cleft left pec.
Two other guys were Al Auguste, who was a 212 competitor and Branden Ray, who had worked for CNN.
There was another competitor, who looked like a jacked up version of Go4 it. Dude had delts, and was featureed in Muscletech and Musclemag. He also did that bodybuilding clothing modeling.

Silvio probably got mad that his girlfriend mentioned his Muscle Hustle Gallery pics and that he can only afford second hand furniture from Shawn Ray, and still not pay Shawn for it. And that for Lonnie Teper he "peels on demand".

He decided that his third place finish at the Mr. O while being "all Natch-Ur-Al" wasn't good enough, and decided to use steroids. He was never the same after that.
