Title: Bransch Warren strong?
Post by: Julio Ceasar on April 12, 2015, 11:57:55 AM
I have never been impressed with Bransch "heavy lifting" style...Its a little "fake it if u cant make it" giving illusions about being strong!

Just watched this video with Josey Ramond. Josey compete in the 212 class and are clearsly stronger in the incline without all the drama!

Thats because Branch relies on his reputation to place high, not a physique. Hes known for being "hardcore." Its how he stays in the bodybuilding limelight, so to speak.

Well, it depends. Strong compared to what. Any gym rat may not be considered strong by bodybuilding or power lifting standards but a seasoned weight lifter, even just recreational one, is incredible strong compared to societal standards. You'd be hard pressed to find an average working man full squat 225 lbs or bench 135 lbs for one rep.

Let's see if u are talking about Jose or joses bro Tito I have witnessed that dude do 600+ on dead lifts raw, 500 squats, 400+ benching and he weighs like 175-180 tops, really good shape, 6-8 bf percentage

His work out partner is mike o Hearn who's also very strong

He has to be referring to Branch.

Dude's a monumentally stronger presser than Branch. Good grief. Branch must have been melting inside spotting the guy bang out 315 for PERFECT and smooth reps when his are totally jerky and each rep is a struggle.

Is Branch strong? In his own way, for sure. His workouts would have us coughing up blood, plain and simple. Not a question of matching weights but his intensity is insane.

Not a fan of his body at all, but he is pretty bad ass to hunt wild boar while dieting low carb and shit.

Him falling off a horse did not help with his "street cred" however.

as an ego training midget packed full of drugs I'd expect him to be throwing around 4 plates at least with that kind of form, since his 'thing' is lifting as much weight as possible with terrible bouncing half reps

potatoe head jose looking aesthetic as fuck in that video

Never got the Branch Warren hate that is unique to this board. An extraordinarily successful bodybuilder, he also started his own successful freight company and owns a successful gym. He's been training for the majority of his life and has developed a training style that has proven very successful. He may never be a Mr. O but few people have carved such a lucrative life style just as a bodybuilder. Also, he seems like a very hard working man's man and conducts himself far better than these prima donnas and g4p hustlers.

People may not like his physique, and I'm one of them, but he did recently place second in the Arnold which is the most prestigious BB contest 2nd only to the Mr. O.

His body dosent got the flow so to say : ) and his trainingstyle is a little bit to much for me! Maybe a showoff when the camera is on? Would have a hard time he does like this 5-6times/weak all year round! If he do...its pretty impressive!

Besides that no hate!

Why not just learn a valuable lesson from Ronnie Coleman?

Have we ever tried to learn from other people's mistakes?

Makes you question  if form is really important for building muscle at all, despite having the worst form Ive ever seen his  chest is way  thicker and denser than the other guys which could very well be the result of the brutally heavy weights used.  Could he handle those poundages with decent form? no way.....would he be as big and reached that level of development   if he trained with good form all those years? maybe not..

Likely isnt, the muscle responds to stress, it has no idea if you are training strict or loose.
Throwing weights around with no control is a sure way to get injured though.

Branch Warren is the quintessential wannabe tough guy.  Reliant on drugs since he was 15, oversized pick up truck, pit bull owner, making a scene when he trains...top that off with all that God talk bullshit...and it's very easy to not like this guy.  The whole "work hard for everything" persona, gritty blue collar guy.  We got it Branch, you're the toughest guy on juice on your block.
I prefer Johny Jackson's demeanor much more.  No tough guy persona, just a strong dude who obviously works hard, but doesn't try to show it or tell it every video.  Actually, scratch that...he's another bible thumper.
Fuck em both actually.😀

I think Branch is a supremely disciplined and hard core athlete. I have a friend in Texas and has seen Branch train and it's no joke. He drives and pushes himself to the limit. To me that does show "toughness". And Branch was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He has worked hard. I imagine it's not easy being a world class bodybuilder and starting and running a successful business. Most have their hands full just guest posing and handling their mail order business. And they are all reliant on hormones. I don't get when people bring that up. It's part of being a bodybuilder. And how refreshing that he is open about his faith and how much it has contributed to his success. I never got how none believers are so hostile to people of faith but you rarely see such vitriol by people of faith directed towards non believers.

Again not a fan of his physique but a fan of his work ethic and bringing such much needed masculinity to an increasing gay sport. It is very easy to like this guy. I'm not surprised at the huge fan base he has generated and maintained.

Who the fuck said he was going to change the world you retard? I was just pointing out that I don't get the hate as he is fabulously successful and is a self made millionaire. He's really living the American Dream.

And he doesn't just lift weights FFS. He runs three other successful businesses, any of which can stand on his own, in addition to his bodybuilding career.

One thing you can say for Branch is that he doesn't give up. Haven't we all been sure
his body has been finished for the last few years? But, fair or not, he managed to place 2nd
at the Arnold with that failing body. He is like a pitbull that doesn't give up.

Yeah his training style is dangerous and maybe stupid but he does seem to push himself hard. Can't hate on that.
