He was fired from his NFL team for "insubordination" which is something I've never heard of.  I've seen some real fuckups who did alot & I mean ALOT of dumb shit in the NFL for many years never get fired because they went out & delivered on the field.  This idiot must have done some really stupid shit.

Lawrence Phillips has been a piece of shit since his days at Nebraska. And to think that the Jets were giving him serious consideration as the overall number one pick in 1995. (They ultimately selected WR Keyshawn Johnson.) A major draft bust for the Rams.

Jimmy Johnson gave him a shot in 97 on the Dolphins, it obviously didn't work out.
