As many Europeans (I believe) I've always been interested in the aspects you don't find in books, who better than getbiggers can explain me these aspects?
North? South? People from particular areas/state?
For example: as italy is concerned, generally people say in the nord we work a lot but we're not very smart (as you surely noticed); the opposite in the south.
post on :)

Very valid reasoning by Mr. BungaBunga - Americans it's your time to shine.
-
As much as people want to bad mouth it, they want to be here. For all the problems we have they don't compare to some of the bullshit issues in other countries. USA for what it is, is like 50 different cultures rolled into one country. You can travel through this country and feel like you've seen every walk of life.

What civilised western people want to be in the USA? Japanese, Australian, UK, German, Swedish? No thanks, we value our freedom too much
to want to move to a police state where 1% screw the other 99%.
Only people from 3rd world shitholes like Mexico, India, Ireland etc see the USA as something great these days.

whatever you do just avoid anywhere with large numbers of hebrews and you'll be okay.

yep, people in 2nd and 3rd world shitholes think it's a wonderful place and probably wants to be there.
It's just as shit a place to be if you're poor as any other first world country.
Just be rich. You'll have a great live anywhere.

Italians are the mexicans of Europe.

Italians are the mexicans of Europe.
agree 100%
people come here and love it because of food, friendly people, history, monuments etc etc
but actually living here is not so fun.
I traveled really a lot for my job in the past and visited many many countries all over the
world: even places referred as shitholes are better than italy (except for east europe)
to live well you just need to have a little money in the bank and this is why more or less
I stay here, but in reality this place is shit

You're kidding right? Germans rank as one of the largest groups of illegals in the USA. People from the UK flock here daily. Australians and kiwis immigrate here like crazy.

What's wrong with Eastern Europe? Which shitholes are better than Italy?
-
What's wrong with Eastern Europe? Which shitholes are better than Italy?
with Eastern Europe the problem is the terrible legacy from communism: those countries are in worse conditions now than Italy in the 30's.
the list of countries better than Italy is far too long, even in Europe: Spain, Portugal, Greece etc etc (no offense to anyone living there)

Greece????? Complete shithole of the first order. Too hot, no air conditioning, toilets don't flush, horrible food which looks like cheese a dog
ate and puked up, ugly hairy women, unfinished buildings, etc etc and those are just the good points.

America is a wonderful country where even a gay hebrew bodybuilder in Sylva can become a successful business owner and internet legend.

My dear friend, what dont you like about italy?
-
Rom was great - epic sun which turned me into a lobster.
Sucks that Italy seems to be such a sinkhole... I thought that Berlusconi the great Impaler gave away free coke and hookers... :D
As for the US of A - some parts will always be dandy.
-
My dear friend, what dont you like about italy?
high taxation and as a result nothing really works as it should be.
corruption: unbelievable levels.
salaries too low.
parliament is full of monkeys just stealing our money.
the list is just too long mate
-
wow, I tought you were describing Italy mate ;D ;D ;D
At least Italy has some style and nice cars and clothes and stuff.
Ok so you don't pay any tax and are all dodgy kunts but at least you do stuff in style.
The Greeks are bearded goatfuckers with zero style and still dress like Zorba the Greek.
And the men are just as bad.
:D

anyway, I want to know about USA: is there any dualism between North and South? Or is there between East and West?

Hand on heart - one of the nicest places I ever lived was Knoxville. A bit quiet but a great lifestyle.
LA is OK - good for visits, not my for living full time cuppa though. The most time I spent in the states is in that LA coastal area - Venice, Santa Monica, Hermosa, El Segund etc
The USA is like Europe - lots of different cultures. You couldn't compare New Orleans with Chicago for instance. Totally different. New Orleans is almost European feel in parts.
I've done Dallas, LA, Memphis, Knoxville, Nashville, Charlotte, Atlanta, New Orleans, Chicago, San Diego.
San Diego, Knoxville & Chicago I could live in without too much trouble.
I wouldn't even dare to go to Vegas - that would be fatal for someone like me.
I generally found people fine but the more remote places were cool because they don't hear so many English accents and you get special attention. Half of the UK lives in LA, so they couldn't give a fuck there.

thanks pedro.
You mean that the stereotype of the little nice city in places like Wyoming where everybody knows you and is willing to give a hand is true?

spain portugal greece italy = third world country i hate because of ppl's mentality. Lazy ass, noisy (especially spanish), relying on european welfare, and portugese is third world and an italian is an arab with a suit.
Compared to german it's night and day. A strong european union to me will be only with france, holland, germany, the rest is shit, a bottomless pit for our money.
-
anyway, I want to know about USA: is there any dualism between North and South? Or is there between East and West?
No dualism, no one cares about the other except the South, they hate everyone outside of themselves. Awful. SC is the worst.
yes and avoid the hebros

You can't be more wrong than this.
Hint: where is Sev living?..

a strong EU will never exist: EU is not like USA, there is no unity. Nobody likes nobody and Germany makes the rules.

ignore these anti-south comments. people in the south are far more pleasant to be around than urban areas in any section of the country. even if they 'look' trashy to outsiders.
one more thing. find a map. draw a circle 15 miles around baltimore city and 30 miles around Wash. DC. don't go within those circles.

You were faster than me: I was about to say I wanted to hear an opinion from a getbigger coming from South US

i live in maryland but have spent a lot of time in the south. yes, don't go to DC or baltimore because of crime. it's also very congested and people are more rude here than many other places (common for big cities in general).
i've spent time in alabama, georgia, florida, mississippi, etc. people appear more trashy on the surface, more 'redneck' sort of speak. but i have found these people are mostly more polite than the east coast and even the ones who aren't so nice keep more to themselves. there are exceptions of course but the differences are enough to be very noticeable to an outsider.

Not sure about SC, but Parker, Johnny Falcon, Vince G & Mr Nobody life in NC. All of them are good people.

Biggest thing is to remember the U.S. is very big and diverse.
In north Carolina it's much different that place such as California.
-
Everyone here looks like C.J. from Baywatch. Even the dudes. It's really something, paisan.

I have a good friend going to Italy to tour for a couple of weeks. She heard the gypsy pickpockets are really bad everywhere. Is that true? She was also told she needs her knees and shoulders covered in a lot of places ???

Sad. Along with Greece, place has some of the most amazing historical sites in the world.

I disagree. I find the people and geography of many parts of "the south" very likeable, especially North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. Very laid back, albeit a bit too slow paced. Texas considers themselves part of the south, but totally different IMO. I've found NY'rs to be quite nice as well. I've never been to Massachusetts, but dealt with them a lot in business and find them quite rude, stubborn and abrasive with a "my shit don't stink and I'm right" attitude. Chicago and surrounding areas A LOT different than the rest of the state, almost with an elitist, get out of my way attitude, especially the drivers. Surprisingly, California is pretty decent - aside from some of the immigrant populations taking over. The Midwest, is known for being honest, straightforward and down to earth with people of traditional values.

There is New York City and than there is everywhere else.

If you live in a nice white middle class area, the U.S is a great place to live. If you live in a white trash, black or Hispanic shithole, it sucks.

so you all dress in red ???

there are a lot of gypsy pickpockets near historic places like Colosseo for example.
the only place I can think of where they may ask a woman to cover her knees and shoulders is a church honestly, believe me, an italian will never ask a woman to cover herself

Those seem like naturally beautiful places. Never been there but seen pics. Lots of white people. Maybe stay clear of Utah, it's a beautiful state but has tons of Mormons.

When I was in Italy I was told to never wear my backpack on my back, to keep it in front of me and also to put my wallet in my from pocket.
but we were told that was only when we were doing touristy stuff.
-
Still the greatest country on earth. People from all over the world want to live here. The only outsiders that want to live in European countries are Muslims.
The US is where a regular working man can live in a 3000 sq ft house with 4 or 5 bedrooms with three bathrooms and a pool with two new cars in the drive way.
I live in NJ and any ethic food you want can be found made by people from that that country. Contrary to popular thought where I live in NJ has amazing beaches. We just won't tell you where they are. You have cold weather climates and hot weather climates depending on the state. Every state has it's own flavor. An example of this is Texas. It's hot and full of conservative, Christian Patriots who love America and the military. California is full of liberal fruits and nuts who are in general very friendly. New Jersey is where people are tough but you know where you stand unlike some of the south who will call you sir as they kick you.
I think too many people from Europe form their opinion of America through our majority liberal news providers. They spin the news that makes it sound like crime is out of control. I'm nearly 60 and the only thing I had stolen from me was a bike when I went into a store when I was 9.
-

exactly: it's not italians that will pickpocket you, gypsy will do it.
police is not able to control them, there are too many of them lurking around monuments.
-
You can hunt them for sport after dark.

PM G Thang about Colorado. Pretty sure he thought the world of that place.
-

Not in italy mate, they even get paid approx € 30 a day as a welfare aid.
But anyway, let's talk about usa, not italy.
Is it only a stereotype the "gentleman from the South "?
-
east coast=shit coast including the 'south'
-
Texas considers themselves part of the south, but totally different IMO.
ive never met any texans identify as southern
