Expensive, don't live very long....most have heart issues... Amazing looking dog tho, my fave British breed is the British bullterrier, they don't mix well with other dogs tho.

My skin is vibrant from the amount of olive oil I've consumed, and my bowel movements are finally regular.

I want a Sharpei terribly and have for years but I know that I just don't have the time to devote to one as she will require a lot of maintenance (cleaning the folds in her skin, prone to health issues, etc) we have a pocket sized american bully and will be buying another one soon. Amazing dogs.

lots of health issues.  They are very stupid and lazy dogs which might be good on your situation.  They ranked at the bottom of the list of most intelligent dogs.  they are so dumb that you can leave, go to work for 8 hours, come back home and they won't even realize that you left.  Also not useful at protecting your home.

I wanted one for a number of years, but the health cost in old age with them scared me away. Now I just watch old "Poochinski" clips on youtube to get my bully fix -

.

Seriously though, as mentioned, the health care cost are awful.

Just a quick google search.

Bulldogs have a plethora of health problems including cardiac and respiratory disease, hip dysplasia, cherry eye, and other concerns. They are extremely susceptible to heat problems, can easily drown in swimming pools or other water, and require daily cleaning of their skin folds to avoid problems.

Believe this because a friend of mine had a gorgeous bulldog and it had the eye issue, hip issue and a couple others.  And it farted all the fucking time, but it wasn't a slobbering dog.

I heard about the farting before, but didn't know bulldogs are about the most unhealthy dog breed around. Maybe we should go for a huskey or something...

Have you considered a cat?  They are cute and cuddly.  Plus they are loaded with personality and get themselves into all sorts of crazy predicaments!
