I feel aliens made us because they were unsure about us so we are there entertainment
A god wouldnt need anything real like us, or to test us
The need To test something out is a highly human/animal/alien trait

Aliens are simply misunderstood / misinterpreted Gods. It's all there in the Genesis account if you read it closely. Personally I think a lot of what we consider myth and religion is based on misinterpreted truth and technology.... Fiery chariots, etc.
Read the story of Jonah through those lenses and get back to me.

I have said before that you cannot tell an infant about physics so perhaps God made His explanations like he made us. Simple.
That is, simple to understand until we were more capable of understanding the complex.
And Marty, I believe the plural you speak of may well be what is known as "plural of majesty". Or maybe not.

The concept of alien life having came to earth to mine for resources and in the process created mankind makes for an interesting read. Something I could see us doing in a thousand years or so if we make it that long.

One word: EVOLUTION. Prove otherwise. In fact, evolution theory seem to be so complete and full of facts, that next big happening in it will be fading of religions. That is also a part of evolution, mankind grows smarter, so it doesn't have a need for the fairy tales. This is seen as we speak, there is year by year more people resigning from the religions..
