Tyson - Lewis
-
Hagler - Hearns.
Ali - Foreman.
Leonard - Duran I.
Ali - Frazier II.
Gatti - Ward III.
Tyson - Spinks.
Special mention -
Mayweather - Pacquiao. People will love it, but I've soured on it because they are past their prime, but it will be historic.
Tyson - McNeeley. That was big to me because it was Tyson's first post prison fight. Caused all types of wonderment.
-
Tyson/ Lewis had far more hype the paq/mayweather.This maybe the richest fight ever in terms of money, likely due to inflation but nowhere close to reaching the Tyson/Lewis levels of excitement.Had it happened 4 years ago though and this is by far the biggest fight ever.

Holyfield Tyson
-
holyfield/tyson 2 and oscar de lahoya/felix trinidad were my most anticipated

suprised leonard hagler hasnt been mentioned yet. The build up to that fight was huuge. Outcome was disappointing but it was the fight of the 80`s.

Hagler was def screwed in that fight, Leonard stole it

Besides Gatti vs Ward all boxing main events have been a massive disappoint for me as far as entertainment value

Remember McNeeley's face? lol. I genuinely thought he had downs syndrome when i seen him. He's my all time funniest boxer. Some of the stuff on youtube is classic...fair play to him though for taking it straight to Tyson, even if it didn't work out well.
Ha, he reminded me of most of the older NE Jocks/meatheads I knew growing up. Silly guy, but likable, and fun to listen too. He really does deserve credit for wading right in there with Tyson, real shame they stopped it early. He was getting beat, but was still fresh and game to go with Mike.
I haven't seen it in maybe 15 years, and have been watching bits and piece all morning. It really is a time capsule fight, from the build up, to the crowd, to the end. Really interesting watch -
.
1:45 - 2:30 - That speech. 13:00 - 15:00 - The Ringside celeb list ( poor Pammy didn't get her props). 19:20 - 24:00 McNeely / Tyson walk out. That staredown at 27:00 :o . Mills Lane being Mills Lane at 28:50 - 29:00 or so. 38:00 - 39:15 - Lovable Tyson. 43:30 - 45:20, McNeeley being McNeeley. 46:30 - Tyson swag.
