I'd be willing to bet it's a hell of a lot more than that when you consider contractors working for the government. I live in the Northern VA/DC/Baltimore area and there's tons of companies doing business with all levels of government. Boeing, GE, Accenture.
Take a ride down I-270 and you'll see a lot.
