Title: Superset - Legextension/legcurl
Post by: Julio Ceasar on May 09, 2015, 07:58:47 AM
Is it ok to do this in the gym. And if someone take your machine while u doing the other one, is it ok to tell them to move?

I just did this twice today but, the people seem to not like it : )

If someone is super setting and the gym is quiet it's generally ok, on the other hand if someone is giant setting and I need one of the machines I'll just use it without saying anything, they can't expect numerous pieces of equipment to be theirs all at once

yes true.. I suppose itīs easier in the big Gyms but where i work itīs not practical. Then again you can use free weights faster and more direct for Supersets/tri sets/giant sets. Just planning really.

It's very annoying. They act like they have priority but fuck them. It's just as annoying as tRx/crossit people using the squat cage for their bands.

Do it during dead gym hours, that's fine.

I know what they're doing, but don't care. Especially if they don't have a towel.

antagonist training is great. ON paper.

You would be much stronger on either/or doing them seperate. But people like to be in and out in no time, some don't like to rest and do nothing between sets either. I understand...

i feel the same way about the toilet. nobody has the right to occupy the toilet by themselves, its there for all of us to enjoy so i just knock and ask if i can work in

If someone ends up on one of them why don't you simply ask to work in with them? If they refuse, they are the ass.

I feel its ignorant to think any ONE or TWO machines is yours in a gym you rent, just like the guy on the machine. None of them are ours, they are there for us to use, everyone can simply share. If you really want to own equipment and not have any of this be an issue ever, be a recluse and build your own home gym.

If there are a group of people on something, it doesn't make sense to work in but if it is one person, it works out quite well to get a set in while they are resting before their next set.

True, but then for some reason, because you let them work in, they now think they're your buddy now and engage in small talk.

Huge mistake.

looks like someone did not read post #13.

I'd say one time in 10 the person actually has a towel and is not disgustingly sweaty. Why would I let them work in. I don't even allow the body language for anyone to ask me. Very rarely that happens.

And let's just keep it that way...

Like you can't do something else, you HAVE to disturb me, c'mon.... I never ask to work in. EVER. I wait, or do something else.

Take example from a 26 year gym vet.

supersetting legextension/leggcurl  ::)

did you learn about that shit in musclefag magazine

I like to keep the intensity up after done with the head excercises squat and deadlift...get some muscles and burn some calories...works fine! Already doing all the weights on the magazine and start loading extra weights on that shit is past my time, i do mere set reps or keep intenisty higher instead.

OK most of you guys are seeing it  from the view point of a customer.. the only time i get annoyed as a trainer is when i have a training appointment and people "Doze" on a machine or play with a mobile. If they say to me i am supersetting then i am cool with it.

I am biased to the fact I will acomodate trainers.

But hate it when they take a squat cage, have a client do something there, then fuck off for 10 min then come back. I see this more and more now and brings me inner anger like well, everything else, lol...

Especially if the cage is used for some bullshit you could have done elswhere. They do this so the person has a mirror and feel "undisturbed. Great, just interfering with people who wanna use it for what it's supposed to be used for.

Not doing reverse hypers on bench in the cage bullshit...

Doing super sets or giant sets in a crowded gym is a douche bag move. It's also a douche bag move if you won't let another person work in on the equipment while your resting.

I love to superset leg extensions and seated leg curls before squats. Great for pre-exhaust and getting an optimal mind muscle connection to start leg day. Of course, if the gym is crowded I don't superset, I just do all my sets of extensions and then all my sets of curls and waddle over to the squat rack.
