Started lifting when I was 14 for football, but by 19 due to some ankle and knee problems stopped, picked the weights back up at 21 and have been hitting it hard ever since, 27 now. If I could go back in time, I'd kick my ass for ever taking that break at 19.
I absolutely love training, training itself is something I love more then most anything. Be it I reach all of my bb goals or not I could never conceive ever giving it up.

I don't train.  Getbig is just a place I visit while munching on pizza and donuts while laying around watching TV.  ::)

Thanks for being honest.

free if you worked in an "after-hours" club
(besides patrons giving u free shit to cut a hugeeeeee line ,and just because they want you on there side in case of trouble, you just look on the floor when the lights come on around noon the next day...tons of drugs there, you pat peeps down at the door = tons of drugs etc etc etc etc )
thankfully those days are long gone

(i experimented .......had sum fun ,got really bad hangovers couldnt train ,eat etc, i decided bb was more imporant to me...got outta the scene...meanwhile friends and loved ones have died, peeps back home still all fucked up on the shit...losing everything.............i t was fun for a short while then it reared it's ugly head)

Ain't it the truth. I have lifted on and off for 30 years. After a severe back injury, a hernia, and countless strains, I still work out hard but know when to save it for another day!

I still love it though. Nothing beats the satisfaction of getting two extra reps ;D

I have always been into sports but not in school, i was more into street basketball and backyard football, got sent to juvenile bootcamp and then eventually got into boxing and lifting around 16-17 and got into trouble again and spent another 5months away and trained during most of my free time there and played on most the sports teams and then at 18 i got my first weight bench and have been weight training since (i'm 20).

I've been training for 25 of my 40 years and won't ever stop unless for some reason it's medically not possible anymore.  At this point in life, if you let up even a little, Father Time is right there behind you and he'll pwn your ass.

I don't go overboard or anything and my joints feel great.  I have to push the limits but haven't ever juiced or anything and I feel great.  I've had my share of injuries in the past but try to be smart.  I did just get a 515x3 DL last Friday so that ain't bad for an old guy. 8)

Been training 35-36 years (started when I was 10 or 11), all those years had only one full year when I did not train at all (being a new father and starting a newe business diverted my attention that year), but all the other years I either trained all year, or else 6 to 9 months out of the year.

I think the fact that I took at least 3 months off a lot of years helped my joints a lot, because I have always trained heavy, but I dont seem to experience a lot of the aches and pains that others do, although I will say when I bench heavy, my right shoulder always seems to get a little out of wack.

Its definitely in my blood, and I know I will always hit the weights for the rest of my life.

Its a beautiful thing.  ;)
