600
-
Doesnt suprise me , theres a video of him close grip benching 400 - 450 like nothing.
-
That must be some pharma grade protein powder.

Cena is a strong mother fucker.
To pick up a heavy person is hard as is, but he takes em and does that finisher (yes the other assists him in some ways...) but still takes incredible strength.
No idea how he keeps it up with their shitty sleep/travel schedules.

It's a bit hard to tell, it looks like -
2 yellow #33 lb bumpers = #66.
4 Blue #44 lb bumpers = #176.
4 Black Training Bumpers that might be #44 or #45, so #176 or #180.
2 #10 olympic plates or they could be worn #25's = #20 or #50
1 #44 pound olympic bar = #44.
So not #600 to my eye.
-
Depending on the two large plate outside the blue ones.
It looks like 200k = 440lbs or 220k = 465lbs.
Good enough squat. Just not 600lbs.

amino acids daily and lots of calories :D

The craziest thing Ive seen him (Cena) do:
Had Big Show (prolly 400 pounds at least) on his shoulders. Someone dove off the top rope, on top of Big Show while Cena held him/them.
Walked them both out to middle of ring, then dumped them.
Strong Focker...

Would be cool if all the WWE stars took part in a powerlifting contest. I'd like to see what type of numbers they could hit.

x2 heavy lifting plus heavy eating, maybe a good multivitamin and high-purity protein supplement, immediately post-workout.
Is also likely a master of the mysteries of intra-workout nutrition.

was that vid in slo-mo

Seems we're all wrong, Cena's claiming it was #396 -
http://twitter.com/JohnCena/status/599239351466209280 .
Really good of him not to easily claim the extra weight. Must be really odd bumpers or maybe he's not counting the bar, cause it certainly looked a bit higher than #396.

Nope. That's squirrel eggs and bee pollen.

I remember that. How tha fuck is it possible, then to walk with them??? He must have goofed himself up real nice with abombs, suspension for sure! Not saying it's bad, but that is beyond inhuman!!!
Doubt anyone will ever reproduce that.

Doesn't matter what he's on. He's one strong mofo.

This is on CNN.com, of all places
Update from Friday, May 15
It was originally reported that Cena was squatting 600 pounds.
The wrestler later cleared up the confusion about how much he was squatting on Twitter, letting everyone know that it was a total of 396 pounds.
From Cena's Twitter
To clear up all the false interpretation that has derived from the pause squat video, bar weight is 396 pounds or 180 kilos. Thank you.
-
Nice he's honest. That big show/edge feat is impressive, must be something in the mechanics of the lift that makes it easier
-
That's decent of him to speak up & give the true poundage.
Puts a stop to all the big numbers rumours.
Well done Mr John Cena.

they did have a bench contest back in the day that escalated :D
-
180 kilos or 396 lbs according his twitter. He posted the numbers to clear up the confusion as people thought it was 600 lbs. Check the video on his twitter and you'll see he does a nice long pause at the bottom before ascending.

Thanks.
Wasn't quite sure if the handful of posts above saying the exact same thing were right. This confirms it.
