Title: Marv Philips Deadlift 1976
Post by: Powerlift66 on May 21, 2015, 01:13:32 PM
What a Powerlifter should look like (and lift like).
From the 70's, Marv Philips. Strong, huge, ripped, etc.

Had his arm torn almost completely off in a tree cutting accident when young. Re-attached, and became a lifting legend.

To all fat-asses out there, learn from Marv...

Funk, I had 2 copies of Inside PL, and Ernie Frantz "10 Commandments on PL" book.
So, I still have my "Inside" copy that Jan and Terry signed for me at AOBS, but I found one in a local used store for 5 bucks.
I also got a copy of Ernie's book for free fro Larry on Iron History (still have it) but got another for 20.00 in a bit of luck online.

Anyways, I put the set up on ebay (I have a set and sold a set) and it ended up going for over $400.00 for both. (The set I got for 25.00, so that was quite the profit, right into the kids college fund).

Now Ernie re-released his "10 Commandments" book, so timing was perfect for me. (Or the kids)...
