Unless maxing out of course. This bar is the shit! , I can finally bench more than twice a week heavy without my nagging shoulder problems coming back. Seems like it would be great to build the regular bench as well, just feels much more natural. save your shoulders fellas 8)

note for you. all you are doing is working around your injury. having a fixed point of rotation for the palms will always result in mechanical injury.
try holding dumbbells with your grip facing in..that's superior to that bar. you can then work the bells inwards like your chest is supposed to do. you also arent forced to go too wide as you would be with the bar and its fixed hand positions.
avoid the bar if you are getting injured. anything that fixes a mechanical pivot (including end point pivots).

Wiser after the event I turned to DB benches 15-plus reps.
Says dr Dutch, the guy who knows........

I stopped benching years ago and when in shape,my pec development is better than ever.
If you don`t have a natural propensity to be a strong bench presser, reps should be between 10-12.

Little bit of creative deleting gets to the true meaning of your post. Hope this helps.

The neutral grip decreases internal rotation of the shoulders.

grip only changes the forearm; no influence on shoulder

The humorous is externally rotated outward. That frees up the shoulder joint. Extend your arm, make a fist, turn your thumb upwards and observe it for yourself.

Def a great piece of equipment, helped my shoulders to heal a lot
When you get to the point you can bench as much with this bar as you can reg olympic bar- then try a regular olympic bar press, you will probably be noticeably stronger on your pressing , triceps will be crazy strong too
