Title: Delicious food recipes native to your culture
Post by: Wiggs on May 27, 2015, 11:05:11 AM: One thing I don't talk about too much here is one of my passions is cooking. I love it. But I would never want to do it as a job because I don't like jobs. It is a stress reliever for me and I've been doing it since I was old enough to reach a counter. Ask anyone that knows me and they'll tell you about my food. I like to see people enjoy a creation I made. I think anyone would. Anyway, Adam has posted some oldie but goodies here I've made and have knocked mine and other peoples socks off. Hummingbird Cake comes to mind. There was a Getbigger at least 5 years ago told me about smoked salmon, toasted bagel, capers, cream cheese and red onions. I still eat that to this day, it's a regular part of my diet if I want something tasty but not too unhealthy.

I'd like to know some dishes or recipes of foods from your cultures. Getbig is pretty global so I think if there's decent participation, we'll get a diverse selection of recipes. BTW, this doesn't involve anything to do prepackaged ie. Hamburger Helper for the Shizzo types. Recipes from scratch please. Shizzo, I don't want to know your recipe about how you can make Cheeseburger Hamburger Helper taste like a real BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger.

Not native to my culture, unless you think of Americans as a mixture of many cultures.

I've made this dish, the whole family loves it. I substitute prawns for the chicken.

Swap the beer base for a tomato base, and add extra sausage. Not Polish, but a decent portion of my family is German, and they all make some variation of it.
