“Those guys in the NFL are a different breed,” he explained. “They are the best athletes in the world. I was a middle-of-the-road size guy. I had to eat 15,000 calories just to be 280 pounds. I had to be in the weight room twice a day to be 280. I had to be tougher than dog shit just to be out there. I wasn’t fast, I wasn’t super strong. There wasn’t one thing that made me an unstoppable force.
“I went above and beyond to push myself, so I was injured time after time after time. Finally I had to retire after I ripped my abdomen off my pelvis. It’s just like a hernia. I was able to fulfill my dream, but obviously we all want to be the best at what we do, and I fell way short of that.”

These guys claim that eating 10,000-15,000 calories is the secret to getting huge.
But they always seem to forget to reveal their steroid usage.

Haha yes, what was his claim, 12,000/day?

This. Guy is full of ahit. But the average joe thinks it's possible so they'll continue the crap
-

I think that was per hour. He was eating around 30,000 calories when he deciding to move up from Welterweight to Cruiserweight.
Just like Derek Anthony he was undefeated with all of his wins being knockouts.
Getbiggers don't lose fights.

When this filth piece of shit claim to eat 12,000 or 15,000 calorie a day , they really mean that they inject 12 grams or 15 grams of steroids hormones a week ;)!!!

NFL is the top 1% of the athletic genetic pool. I heard from a guy who played in the CFL, who has friends in the NFL, that most of these guys don't do shit in the offseason and play playstation, get high, drink, whore it up. Then get in shape only during OTAs. Just genetic lottery for these guys.
Even these fat slob players are still faster and stronger than 99% of fat slobs.

In his book he outed other players for using juice in the weight room while he was drug free, he didn't name names, but he said he knew when guys were CURLING 315 he knew what was going on.

I've also know a couple NFL and CFL vets. I got mixed reviews, the lower level guys said many players used just to stay healthy and the more competitive guys would say you either have it or you dont, gear wasn't a factor. As physically demanding as that sport is I'd be surprised if many aren't on something.
But you're right about them being the elite 1% of athletes. The athleticism and strength of the fat and unathletic looking, untrainded guys is something else.

This looks a lot like the " I have a friend who has a friend who is a cop and says they all deal drugs and steal during burglary investigations"
I know a former NFL player and his story on keeping in shape is a little different. Varies from position and stature but every year you are generally competing for your spot from younger rookies.. you tend to work harder

Is this thread about Bill goldberg?

I am queezy that he ripped his abdomin off his rib cage.

15k calories a day? ::)
Oh brother.
-
Gonna have to call BS on the great Goldberg. :'( At my largest ever I was 235 lbs, and was eating 5800-6100 cals a day. His 15000 would be the equivalent of eating 12 chickens a day. He wouldn't have time to workout, because he'd never leave the shitter. Goldberg = Liar filt!
-
10L of coca-cola = 4000 cals
Pure BS from Goldshit!
-
even 5000 - 6000 calories would require me to eat through out the clock 24/7, even waking up in the morning nights just to grab a snack and then go back to bed.
15k calories... lol

Actually this guy has a sad story. He suffers from a rare condition knows as Pneumoniae perfecta.
When he was young, his mother told him he was worthless and abandoned him at a hospital.
He grew up in an orphanage and was bullied for his looks but he always tried to stay positive.
He told himself that he would always believe in himself and achieve his dreams, no matter what others said. When he got older, I completely made this story up and you've wasted your time reading this.

15,000 is bullshit. These guys exaggerate everything. Dorian said he was eating 5,500 at his peak. Was Goldberg eating three times that with less muscle? Bullshit.
I remember an argument on some board years and years ago about whether Goldberg was juicing. One guy said he thinks he uses a bit because his traps stick out. Once you've been around you realise he was on all the time for years.
-
Bullshit, thats the equivalent combined daily calorie intake (inc. semen) of every whore in the Red Light District, Amsterdam.
-
Like others have said... pure BS.
There are some fatties I see on "My 600lb Life" who can consume this, but it's all junk food.
-
Lol
At my biggest weight I was only eating less than 4000 kcals a day, and I was absolutely stuffed most of the time. I'm sure you could drink that in sugary soda alone (would only take like 10 500ml bottles of lucozade per day/1 per hour or so) but I was eating egg whites/brown rice/white fish/green beans etc - not so easy!)
I also tried the mega-calorie diet that was being advocated in the 90's. I physically could not eat more than 4000 of clean food a day without feeling like a bloated pig. Having to shit twice a day is annoying.
-
During Training Camp I can see eating in the 5000 range. You're on the field in super high heat for about 6-8 hours a day, then you hit the gym. You're burning a shit load of calories. Eating 15K give me a break.

Why would it be that difficult for someone Goldberg's size to eat that much, especially if he's downing protein weight gainer shakes along with his regular meals? In my younger years, I was putting down over 5000 calories a day for several months. And that was just to get me over 200 lb. Half of that was weight gainer shakes.

5000 vs 15000 is a world apart.

5000 vs 15000 is a world apart.
It is. But I wasn't 280. I was closer to 180. And I sure as heck wasn't playing football.
-
NO ONE can eat 15,000 calls consistently, after a few days you would be totally overloaded.

Apparently it didn't overload this fellow:

He played CIAU varsity football (Canada's version of the NCAA) and his teammate/roomate went to the NFL. He didn't throw him under the bus or anything. Just said that he lives a fun life and doesn't need to be training all the time. He still golfs with him in the summer. I believe him. This guy smokes weed, drinks, whores about too. Fun times I bet. Where's my invite asshole?
-
All these types of guys like to re-write history. He probably ate 10,000 calories once in his life and is now saying it's something he did on the reg. Going up to 15,000 cals. Just delusional he is...If this guy ever reaches his 60th birthday, that 15,000 cals will up upped to 20,000...
